I saw them in concert about 15 years ago in Florida. It was like the same guitar, bass & drum riff for an hour & half. Maynards vocals were almost non existent. I was a big fan of theirs until that concert. Some of my friends that didn't get to go asked me if it rocked. My response to them was basically: I didn't recognize a single song they played, it was like 90 minutes of an intro and the concert was over. I still listen to their music but I wouldn't pay to see them in concert again.

You can tell how they didn't kill it by how unenthusiastic the crowd is. I've tried to get into this band so many times throughout their career and for some reason I just don't see what everyone else sees in this band! I'm not saying they are terrible by any means.. I just don't understand why so many people consider TOOL as the best band of all time. Maybe this just isn't my song? I don't know.. seems like every song of there's I try out they all just feel like they're lacking that UMPH.

Ist time I saw Tool was at Saltair in the middle of nowhere out on the lake in Salt Lake City. 11/3/1996. That venue only holds 4,000. I actually went alone and it was amazing. Husband and I caught the Lateralus tour 7/20/2002. We had our faces melted and it was great. 10,000 days tour 11/24/2007 amazing. Missed Fear inoculum because I was in emergency surgery,but my favorite was 96. Small intimate, Maynard naked but painted blue. Such an amazing band!

I fell in love with Tool the very moment I heard them in 93. Most brilliant artists to ever grace this planet. Maynard is like no other, Danny, Justin and Adam, like no other. I’m a 50 year old mom who still jams to any and every Tool song i hear. And brilliant is an absolute understatement. Thank you for posting this effing masterpiece.

Look carefully. That is a heptagram not a pentagram. There are two types of seven-pointed stars. The open style Tool uses is the heptagram and is made from eight straight lines vs. seven straight lines in the tighter pointier version. A seven pointed star has positive connotations. Seven is a sacred number.

I like your deadpan response. :-) So not to argue, only to explain myself: YT is a platform of videos. I imagine you would watch the video and not come merely to read 4 comments among 2158+. Like many I am here primarily to watch the videos. The stage props are captured in many videos posted on YT. Surely you would eventually see the star moves similar to the large circular backdrop Pink Floyd has used for decades, also captured and commented on in numerous videos.

I love all the tool albums but something always draws me back to the first album and makes me wonder if all that anger, angst and pain felt in songs like sober was still in their music what a glorious sound they would have now after their growth as a band.

Love Tool but it was one of the worst sounding concerts I've ever been to. Whoever did the sound system and check at the old Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise should have been fired. Ruined the entire concert for many of us. I've been to a couple hundred concerts since the late 70s and it was the worst sounding of all.

why Tool is such a "expensive band" to bring on tour?? They never came to south america, the first time will be in 2025. Even Drake, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Travis scott, Kiss, Guns, Nirvana, Wekknd.. i dont get why they never came for decades of existence.

7 pointed star above it all. This isn't a show. It's a satanic ritual, full of hexes and spells. Musically, it's beautiful. Lucifer led the music in Heaven before he fell, and is very adapt at using it to deceive. In 1 song, Maynard as much as admits to selling his soul for fortune and fame. We all owe something to the company store (older folks get that 1). This song is about i, me and my. Selfish and stingy at heart. I wish Maynard would let it go about his mom and receive Jesus. He shouldn't blame Jesus for how ppl acted. Jesus is perfect. His church is not,.. yet. If he could see her now, in Paradise with Christ, maybe then he'd believe. Lord, send your Holy Spirit and show him. Thank you Jesus
