Y'all, this is actually pretty close to the tempo Pentatonix used. I can see how it's a tad fast in a few areas to keep the flow going, but the piece itself needs to be sung freely, which this choir did.

I love this song and I love the way Pentatonix does it, but this song is much better suited for a choir

Very nice, pretty voice.

I do not like it that much... Well executed, indeed, tuned and all... It just does not carry you away. You do not feel that surge of emotions at the "I will break down the gates of heaven". Too slow and "timed" for me that part...

I'm sorry but put up or shut up. In other words, show us a video of your choir singing this song and let us be the judges. ;-)

loved this, there could have been more diversity in volume though along with the singers being more aware of their surroundings in terms of blending :)

Amazing! I bet that inside that room that day sounded even better. The bass voice can barely be heard, if you compare this recording with the original. Anyways, it gave me chills! Keep it up.

Xavier Irazoqui You can't compare live with studio recording and bass boost in post-production. This bass part hits a low C in places. Ain't too many choirs with low Cs.

Alan Kelly what I meant is that the audio from this video might not show how great it may have sounded live. I don't know if the audio heard from the video is the audio from the camera or the mics that can be seen in the video. If it is the camera's, then it could explain why the bass part can't be heard properly. If it is the mic's audio, then it means that the used mic technique wasn't the best choice and the techy could have placed the mics in a different position (higher and closer, for example). The choir layout surely adds difficulty to the choir recording because they are wide spread and not stacked by choir voice, which would have allowed to put a mic for each choir voice. Anyways, I say it again. The presentation was amazing. All the credits to the choir and its conductor.

It was a bit too fast, but, otherwise, the blend was beautiful and really in tune. Nice job. :)

I love how it sounds with a larger group, there's such distinct vowel sounds in this recording. Some of my friends did this song as a trio and I love it, it has such a different feel to it, but they recorded it in a wine cellar and so there's just these amazing overtones. Like, gah. Run To You

Read your comment before I was halfway through the video. Came back to it because you were exactly right, there is *nowhere* to hide in such a song, and they do Pentatonix proud. Fair play to all involved, it's not a song you can sing half-hearted, you either FEEL it, or you don't, and they ROCKED it!
