Hello this is Anna. I just finished watching your video and you seem like a lovely guy. I have a questions about staying at the dorms. I want to attend NUS as a full time internastional student and was wondering if there is a curfew or time everyone have to be in. And are parents allowed to come visit you at the dorm? Sorry I have too many questions😊

Hi Anna, thanks for your questions! To the best of my knowledge, I was not aware of any curfews in place for any of the dorms on campus. And regarding parents, I lived in PGPR, so the only time I ever saw parents was during move-in and move-out. Other than move-in and move-out, I would imagine that if a parent wanted to visit their student, then they would be required to check-in with their student at the main foyer (FYI, the main foyer is that desk area at @8:28 in the video). Glad I could be helpful. You can learn more about accommodation rates here: nus.edu.sg/osa/student-services/hostel-admission/undergraduate/hostel-meal-plan-rates. To stay in PGPR, I paid about SDG 500 per month (roughly USD $350 per month)!

We have a lot of dishes and restaurants with a variety of prices. you can have a cheaper price of meal if you buy it in warung nasi. If you can make friends with local students, you can get more information that will be useful, especially to get lower living cost here, good places for vlogs, recommendations to develop your channel. :) Don't forget to connect with other nomads too like: The Lost Boys, Gypsy in Sneakers, etc.

To be honest, you're not like a foreigner haha... I believe if you're fluent in Indonesian, you'll be like a native Indonesian hahaha.. It's great you're an exchange student, so you can stay longer than normal tourists. As a student, you can rent "Kos-kosan" (temporary dorm) which is a lot cheaper than renting a villa or hotel. Don't forget to download Grab or Gojek for transport or food but for a holiday in Bali you can rent a moped.

Welcome to NUS dude! Definitely try the mala hotpot at PGP, it's really good! Also that mystery smoothie is a bandung. Its rose syrup with condensed milk.

the best part of eating ondeh-ondeh is to eat the whole ball in 1 mouth, when in mouth the sweet gula-melaka will "pop' out and fill your mouth like molten lava....
