Yes, the gold, gray and black on the sword were all hand painted. It comes base in all white.

Snarky, the Cat dying light and dead island are very similar in some aspects and different in a lot as well. Dying Light you can parkour and scale buildings. There's a night and day cycle that makes playing during the night cycle a challenge because it makes the zombies more aggressive and a different type called Volatiles appear which can be hard to get away from if they see you and you're not fast enough. There's plenty of other things that in my opinion make dying light better than dead island. I have 2 montage videos on my channel that show a bit more on action side of things if you want to check those out.

Snarky, the Cat it has a story line. There are a bunch of side missions you get so who ever told you that might have just lost track of the main story line. You are a government agent sent in to retrieve files regarding the outbreak and well if you plan on getting it I don't want to spoil it for you. But if you enjoyed dead island you'll enjoy dying light you won't be disappointed if you do get it.
