How many hours can ride with full charge
@EricSpedding
@EricSpedding 2 жыл бұрын
It all depends on how you ride, what level of pedal assist that you use, and how much you use the throttle only. I can easily kill a battery in 2 hours hitting the trails and riding it like a dirt bike. I can also use the same battery all day when cruising around town on the pavement. Have fun and good luck in your search for the perfect eBike!

Hi, I bought this bike after seeing your review. I'm 32 years old and I didn't touch a bike since I was 16. I bought it to do a little commuting and ride some gravel trail around house. And I wouldn't expect to love so much riding a bike!! I ride it 1-3 times a day since I have it (almost 2 months). I'm an enduro motorcycle guy and I almost didn't touch my motorcycle since I have this bike. I found myself exploring very gnarly trail that I did 1000 times on my motorcycle but was bored to do it. Now I'm rediscovering all those trail I did 1000 times and smile came back like the first time I went to those trails. But I have a question. Since I'm now doing very gnarly trails with rocks and stuff. Do you think the bike can handle it? I'm new to bike world and I don't know if I'm pushing it too hard sometimes. Also I change the suntour forks to rockshox Judy silver. Great improvement. I'll probably go tubeless next time I change my tires. don't feel the need to upgrade anything else.

Hi Dave! Love the review and thanks for your question. First let me agree with you about the smile factor this bike gives you when hitting trails..Or just a random mangled up sidewalk for that matter! I totally get how going from the Motorcycle to this eBike would introduce you to a completely new experience. So, it's funny you bring this up about the tires because I've recently been thinking of doing the same thing myself. I've gone through several flats so far this year on some gnarly trails myself. I'm thinking tubeless might be the way to go. As far as the bike itself. It's a tank! I've gotten so comfortable with it and trust it's going to hold it's own. In my opinion, it can take whatever we present it with! Thanks for the recommendation on the forks! I will look into this! Have an awesome day! Enjoy the ride my friend!

@EricSpedding
@EricSpedding 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Last Call 170! This model goes 20MPH. You actually don't have to pedal at all going uphill if you use the throttle... That said, depending on the grade of the hill and how long you continue to travel up it will significantly drain the battery as it uses more power to compensate. Simply by pedaling will assist the battery and save energy... Hope this helps! Have a great day!!

Hi Dale! Thanks for your question! I do still highly recommend these bikes to anybody wanting to break into the electric mountain biking world. It's a great bike at a great price! I have enjoyed both of mine continually up until a major auto accident I was in on Memorial Day 2020. I actually was in the works shooting my next video and have had to put all of that on hold until I make a full recovery... As far as any issues... I did have a battery issue where it would not charge fully. The customer service was great. They ended up sending me out a new charger and then a new battery. Other than that I had a small issue with one of the pedals that kept coming loose. I eventually just went to my local bike shop and they replaced the bearing which solved that problem. The bike itself is still as solid as the day it arrived! I mean this thing rides hard and I haven't had anything start to feel clunky or loose or unsafe yet! Hope this helps! How do you feel riding the bike without any of the electronics turned on? Is it heavy?
@EricSpedding
@EricSpedding 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Bhargav! This is a great question!! When I first got the bike I never rode it manually. I just figured it would be too heavy and why ride it without power after spending the money to buy it... Well fast forward to today and I have to say, I really enjoy riding my Prague manually as well as under power! The bike does carry some weight to it but with all the gear selections just like a standard mountain bike, it’s actually pretty easy to find a gear that works best for you...! Hi. In specs, it is given 'Das-Kit 6T 3.7 mph throttle control'. This means this e-bike can only go to 3.7mph / 5.9 kmh without pedaling?

Hi Eashaan! I’m not quite sure what you mean but these bikes definitely max out at just under 20 MPH... Hope this helps!

Not as lousy as that girly tattoo on your forearm. You probably have a matching one on your lower back 😂

Hey Eric, Nice review! I just received my bike and it is a pleasure to ride. When you charge the battery, do you have the battery led lights turned on or off? How long does it take to fully charge it? Take Care!

Thanks Rod! Good question! I personally will make sure the battery lights are off. I will then plug the charger into the battery first and then plug the charger into the wall... At this point when the charger comes on the lights on the battery will come back on as well. I do it this way just to protect the battery from any possible static charge... As far as the length of time to charge, that's actually a great question! I generally plug it in after each days ride and then grab it and go the next morning. I will have to pay attention the next few times I charge but if I had to guess, I would say between 4-6 hours to fully charge from zero... Enjoy your ride!!
