(thats why you get the unemployment rate reported every day along with your business news !) . governments NEED TO and DO manipulate unemployment to control; the COST of labour , there simply HAS to be a certain portion of the working population unemployed ! .otherwise wages will go through the roof , thats a basic economic given, the unemployed are an integral and calculated part of a modern economy..Ironically as important to a functioning economy as all you hard working stiffs !.. there are people on jobseekers because they cant get the medical treatment that would allow them to return to work. Thats also a govt choice. theres little data on that increase of people on jobseekers or assisted living. thats very little transparency around peoples access to medical care.
