What a glorious end to a wonderful series! Amazing job with both the boat and the videos. Now that the weather has turned cooler (here in Tennessee USA as well) what new projects do you have planned?

Head of the nails should be larger ? The head is larger in Norway.

Ja, det kan helde. Men vi må huske at det er en annen trasdisjon i norge. I England og i norge vi bygger båter ikke slik.

I am coming to the party months late, as is often the case with KZbin, I guess. Your videos have so sweetly captured the essence of the joy of creating things. You have made such a beautiful thing with a long and courageous life ahead of it. Congratulations, of course, but mostly thank you.

Watching these videos it always strikes me how wonderful it must be to have a chum to do such things with. I have good friends but I have always worked alone in the boat shop. Having another's perspective, ideas, jokes and stories to enrich the time must be really wonderful. Perhaps I'll try it some time! This boat is looking fantastic. Congratulations on solving the centerplate riddle!

Can’t help but note that there are TWO of you and only ONE boat………..if you build it I will watch it!!

I just returned from the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival, which I followed with my first three-day sail and oar trip in my new to me dory. What fun to find another beautiful video from you. Thanks again for sharing your journey and artistry. I look forward to seeing what you create in the future for further inspiration in my own endeavors.

OK, YOU LIVE IN THE US, WHERE THERE ARE PLENTY OF BOATS AROUND TO RESCUE YOU, WHEN CAPSIZED. HERE IN BRAZIL, WE NEED LOTS OF FOAM INSIDE, IN ORDER TO RIGHT THE BOAT AND SAVE OUR LIFE, ON COMPLETELY DESERTED WATERS.😮 SMOOTH SAILING 😊

Thank you for sharing this journey (and little voyage) with us. I'll be green with envy for many months to come, but seeing the two of you create a thing of exquisite beauty in Spirit was a wonderful experience. I am looking forward to seeing what you get up to next!

Wohoo! Nice! A good thing with a sail/row vessel is that you just think of rowing and all of a sudden it´s not as boring with weak winds! 😁. But, I dont have the tide issue here. No risk to end up in France while eating hobnobs in no wind. Keep up the good work!

Oh, great, I already missed you! Keep them coming-those adventures in building and sailing. Could I propose a new challenge: Exton? Or even an ocean crossing to Sandy Bay?

Thankyou for sharing the journey , its been really informative . I noticed the lack of bilge water, a really tight build chaps, well done. I wish you many years safe sailing in her, and a few more videos at sea perhaps?

Are those bags in the bow and under the thwart water ballast? I have a Penobscot 14 that is very tender and as a newbie sailor I'd love to have a little more forgiveness.

Spirit looks like such a fun little boat. I'm rebuilding a big 30' blue water wooden boat, but I do want to build a little 10-14' traditional sailing dinghy to play around the shallow waters and estuaries of Cape Cod Bay on.
