@steveblancard556623 күн бұрын
Ive never used a torque wrench in them. But I'd say very tight. For extra security you can use a punch to stake the screw head in place or use a drop or two of loctite.

I always wondered why .25 ACP didn't catch on for long guns and become a family of cartridges (headspacing on the rim) similar to .22 LR since it was supposed to be comparable to .22 LR, but with centerfire reliability, reloadability, better magazine-ability, and less lead fouling. Then I came across this cartridge and wonder the same thing. Any chance there could be a renaissance in the idea of a new .25 centerfire cartridge family with higher pressures for newer metallurgy and powders that might be able to fire .25 ACP and/or .25 Stevens?
@steveblancard55662 ай бұрын
100 years ago there were several very good .25 cal rifle cartridges. I suspect .25 acp would have been cinsudered redundant. And its higher pressures would not be safe in the smaller rifles.

Thanks much for this informative video and for letting me know of this great improvement. I just finished getting one installed and had a little glitch I'd like to pass along. After installing the EVR I had no generator output. Took everything apart, checked the armature and field and everything looked fine. Reinstalled the generator...still no output...suspected a faulty EVR so bypassed it to get full generator output. Reconnected the field wire to the EVR and now works just fine....turns out the field had to be reflashed. Michael provides excellent installation and troubleshooting instructions. I let him know of my problems and suggested he may wish to add instructions on testing the generator to see if the field needs to be reflashed.
