I really like how different Augus is from most bosses in the game. He's a pure hedonist and simply wants to enjoy life as best he can, including his fight with Asura, and he makes sure his opponent is fully rested and ready in hopes he'll be able to enjoy it to the fullest.

Deadly Vapors stops the current movement or attack of the opponent or their Kameo (or both). You can see it at 3:41, where it delays Scorpion's harpoon for a VERY short time, but enough to be prepared. The extended version lasts longer.

They're completely different games which shouldn't even be compared. One has 2D gameplay, one has 3D gameplay. Many of the moves which work well in the 2D games are worse in the 3D games and vise versa. The 2D games were more complete compared to Storm 1.
