After all, my creations are not podcasts but videos and the narration does not come first. Besides, AI Voiceover gives me the freedom of using different accents, such as an Australian accent for a video about scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, or US West coast accent in a video about a camping trip in the Rocky Mountains. I still remember the sad view of a completely bleached reef around Whitsunday islands.If reefs die then the oceans are endangered. And if the oceans die, then all life forms would be at the brink of extinction. Therefore, I support the process of coral aquaculture. Nice video, by the way!

Coral farming surely helps a lot preserve the reefs because extracting corals from their natural environment for commercial reasons (aquarium trade) is no longer necessary. I like your short video!

Very true! Corals taken out from the reefs in Southeast Asia and the Caribbean reached substantial numbers in the early 2000's and thanks to coral farming those numbers now fell to almost zero. The same applies to reef fish. It all started with clown fish but now more and more different species are raised in special farms and don't need to be taken from the oceans. @@manilkumar73 You mean pioneers like Reinhold Messner, right? Having fixed ropes in critical places on the route to the summit is surely a big help and having experienced Sherpas to provide all sorts of essential support is a major factor for summit successes. However, the various effects of high altitude, harsh weather conditions and the lack of oxygen affects simply every human being. Mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu are located entirely in Nepal, but others like Everest, Lhotse and Cho Oyu are directly on the border of Nepal with the Autonomous Region of Tibet (=China). It's also the case with K2, which is shared by Pakistan and China, while Nanga Parbat lies entirely in Pakistan. Shishapangma is the only 8000er, which is located entirely in Tibet (=China), only 5 km away from the border with Nepal. These are geographical and political facts. Time to remove bodies from climbs. Might add tension to an Indiana Jones movie, but high altitude climbers don’t need grim reminders, and there’s families needing closure somewhere. We have the turbocharged helicopter tech. Now, just like a climbing party, all we need is money, a weather window and the will.
@nuovonovathegreatoutdoorsАй бұрын
I understand your point of view and share your opinion but no helicopter can provide any help at a location like the Bottleneck. The only way to remove bodies is a party of 4 to 6 climbers to carefully carry them back to camp 4 in order to be carried further down until the base camp is reached. In rare rescue operations helicopters risk altitudes around 7000 meters to rush injured climbers to hospitals but for already deceased people no helicopter pilot would risk his life. @@nuovonovathegreatoutdoors Maybe not the Bottleneck on K2, agreed. My point is rotary wing tech has advanced to the point that logistics and training could be developed right now. On two consecutive days in 2005, May 14 & 15, Eurocopter test pilot Didier Delsalle touched the skids of an UNMODIFIED AS350 B3 , in 121 KM/hr wind, to the summit snow on Everest for 4 minutes each (the qualifying requirement was 2 min) As they used to say on ‘The Six Million Dollar Man’, “We have the technology.” Now all we need is logistics and training. Somebody needs to form a corporation.

@@nuovonovathegreatoutdoors That was incredible ! Admittedly a fluke concurrence of conditions, skill and the will to seize the moment. I’ve read about how certain equipment operators can blend their reflexes with their machine’s capabilities and pour a cup of tea with the bucket of an excavator, or gently remove a deer trapped in mud….or bring a chopper’s blades down to inches of the snow slope while shoving its nose in for stability, while an injured climber is loaded on board ! That''s really an amazing video. The ski descent part is gripping, with a lot of footage not available in other videos about K2. In particular, the immense size of K2 comes through, not just height, but the breadth of the mountain with it's fields and valleys and contours. I've been on ordinary "friendly" mountains, and it is not hard to lose direction and orientation even without having to worry about snow and fog and freezing and low oxygen. I imagine K2 must be huge, even if it were relatively gentle, even slopes. The video gives perspectives on that, and the shots from,, or in, the Bottleneck bring out how steep that section is (many K2 videos showing it from well below, looking up, don't bring that out).
