11:27 Interesting how the wording automatically assumes they are studying with a 'non-christian' friend, when they could he studying with a believer. Better to say studying with a believer or non-believer. However, these studies are sacrilegious anyway.

I think there is a general assumption with these churches that anyone not already a member is a ‘non-believer’. However, the church does have a protocol for those who claim to already have a faith- they’ll ask the recruit to write a timeline of their faith journey. Then, later in the study series- somewhere between Discipleship and The Kingdom, they’ll challenge the recruits timeline and push for baptism/rebaptism. Buyer beware.

4:00 So THIS course should take a high priority in your day? Not the personal prayer or bible study? Got it!

If you don’t follow the course you can’t be a baptized disciple. 😅

@ChoosingMyReligion And if you DO follow this course you're STILL not a disciple!!!

ICC IS A FALSE CHURCH & False doctrine

So I’m in the ICC and I’m not understanding. What do you think Christianity should look like? I’m seeing that you disagree, but what do you think Christianity is about? We read the NIV mainly, yes, but many of us regularly read many translations, including using an app that translates directly from the original languages Greek and Aramaic. This is very much encouraged. We encourage questioning, but we take discipleship seriously. Do you have any actually biblically sound complaints?

The first principles teaches that disciple=Christian=saved, and then that baptism saves you. How is a disciple a candidate for baptism if a disciple is already saved according to the studies?
@ChoosingMyReligion6 күн бұрын
@@jacoblabaniegos69 this is a great example. You have to adhere/conform before you can be baptized. But there is no such example of this anywhere in the New Testament. We’ll cover the ICOC/ICC/RCWs doctrine on salvation in a video soon.

@@oluwatolaayedun8195 it’s encouraging to hear that in your congregation they encourage reading many translations- that is great! In terms of biblical doctrine, I would submit to you the teaching on baptism, trinity, over/under discipling, forced compliance to church mandates, an over emphasis on sacrificial giving, the extreme focus on numeric growth, the concept of disciple=christian=saved, the church being the ‘only true church’, cover ups of abuse and SA, and the list can go on. Would love to hear about your thought or experiences with any of these topics. Your thoughts may be helpful to others as they’re choosing their religion.
