Do you by any chance no the wattage off the speakers 50w each?

You can check the model 12A150A in Weber speakers website. I could not find any information about the power, although I think you are right: they should be 50W each. These are really beautiful speakers, very warm, with tight bass and smoth highs. The only issue is the efficiency: compared to Jensen p12Q or even p12N they are much louder and punchier. They are the perfect match with Fender Stratocaster Eric Clapton model

Buona Musica!

Love these videos. I'm interested in acquiring either the 57' Bandmaster or the 57' Twin. These videos help show what they do differently

Thank you, I am glad to read that! The Twin with only one rectifier tube in and a pair of alnico Jensen speakers becomes much more similar to the Bandmaster, both sonically and volumewise. The stock Weber/Eminence speakers are beautiful yet very efficient, so with that set up the Twin is much louder than the Bandmaster. The difference is mostly noticeable if you put also the second 5U4gb rectifier tube in the Twin. The Bandmaster with Celestion greenbacks is the perfect compromise between the two.

@@giulioazzoni6640 thank you for the feedback! The Bandmaster is definitely growing on me. I've always wanted a tweed twin but they're quite loud and my living and gigging situation doesn't really allow me to play it as you should. Bandmaster seems to meet somewhere in the middle. And the tones seem to be sort of unique in comparison to the other tweed era circuits. Which makes it really interesting. I currently have a 57' Champ which I've used for recording and practice purposes only. I absolutely love it, but it is just too quiet to gig with. I'm looking for an option that can do similar stuff tonally but at louder volumes although not too loud :)

@@jonasjacobsen9702 thank you! if I had to pick only one, I’d personally take the Twin but changing the speakers, as the stock Webers are super efficient. I have tried Jensen alnico p12Q and I liked them, they are warm without ice-peaky highs, they are only a little week on the bottom end, but the overall sound is beautiful. And I prefer 2x12 over multi-10, 12s are deeper and warmer sounding to my ear. With only one rectifier on, the Twin with jensen produces a volume which is about the same of the volume of the Bandmaster with its stock jensen p10rf. The tone stack of 5e8a and 5e7 is identical, while the circuit differs in terms of few things (the Twin has 2 extra tubes). The Twin has a much bigger output transformer, I think this results in a punchier sound. The Fender 57 champ is a magnificent amp, perfect for small rooms or recording. I will soon add some videos with a Fender 57 Deluxe which is another tone monster. Among the magic ingredients of tweed amps I think they all share very similar tone qualities (such as harmonic richness, bouncing dynamics with unique feeling under your fingers) then every model performs at its best with the right size of room. Cheers!

@@giulioazzoni6640 thanks for the help! I know the twin is more readily available while the Bandmaster is a little harder to find as well. I'm looking forward to the 57' Deluxe videos! Cheers

Thank you Andrea! You are too kind, it’s just about sharing the result of some crazy “crank the big amp and get the real sustained and overdriven tones” moments with other Blues and Rock musicians. My friend Paolo is a big part of this, as we can turn on our amps in his big room without getting the local police chasing us. Many of the guitars recorded so far are his. There will be other videos coming, we are trying to improve the video and audio quality as well. Cheers and thanks again!

Thank you Andrea! Yes, the 5e7 Bandmaster reissue and the Telecaster really seem they were made to complement each other. With the Twin the IPhone microphone compresses more, due to higher volume, so the “jet engine” feeling does not come through this recording. In general, the Twin is warmer yet darker than the Bandmaster. In this video they were set exactly the same: bright channel (which is “inst” channel for Bandmaster), everything else at 7. To get the best out of the Twin I should have increased the presence. Instead, to get the best out the Bandmaster, I should have decreased it a bit. Thanks again

Do you remember what volume the Bandmaster was at?
@giulioazzoni6640
@giulioazzoni6640 4 ай бұрын
Sure, it was 7.5-8 while all the other knobs (treble, bass, presence) were at 6.5-7. I was plugged into the “inst” channel. Same regulations for the Twin: everything at 7, plugged into bright channel

How loud is the Bandmaster compared to a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe (Gen. 2) amp
@giulioazzoni6640
@giulioazzoni6640 5 ай бұрын
The Hot Rod Deluxe volumewise is in between the Twin (40 Watt, big OT, 2x12) and the Bandmaster (26 Watt) although the Bandmaster fills the room much better thanks to its 3 speakers. It has an incredible bottom end

Sounds fantastic. Which amp is which?
@giulioazzoni6640
@giulioazzoni6640 9 ай бұрын
Thank you Kramer, the first one at the beginning of the video is the Bandmaster, a 2013 replica of the mighty 5e7 tweed amp. You can distinguish it from its squared front shape, it comes with 3x10 jensen p10rf which indeed sound warmer than common p10r. The guitar was plugged into the “INST” channel, which corresponds to the “bright” channel of the Twin that is where I was in. The second one, on the left, is the Twin, with 2x12 jensen p12q speakers that I installed for some time, before getting back to the stock Weber/Eminence ones. No pedals involved, only guitar-cable-amp. Both amps were set with everything at 6,5 and volume at 8. Me and my friend Paolo did this to satisfy our curiosity about the sound result of a high grade Fender Clapton Stratocaster with these tweed amps. Due to the temporary speakers change, the difference in perceived volume was not dramatic between the two amps. The bandmaster is brighter and characterized by a beautiful low end, while its low efficiency speakers tame the volume of upper-mids and high frequencies. When the Twin has its stock speakers is much louder, but with Jensen p12qs it becomes much alike the Bandmaster volumewise. Still with the Jensens, in the room the Twin is a bit louder (40Watt vs 26 W of the BM) warmer, darker but not too much, punchier and it projects more, with very prominent upper mids and a nasal character. Cheers

Yes I do love the great Freddie “Texas Cannonball” King and recognize his importance in Blues Rock history, although I prefer Clapton’s guitar language which, in my humble opinion, is an evolution of Freddie’s one, combined with other old bluesmen’s echoes. Thank you
