So many lapses of logic ,it ruined what could have been a decent story . 1) Small town,he did not know about Marina and Victor before he went to jail .2)At first confrontation he saw the 3 arrive and noted Victor;s hard look.He should have covertly taken up the crowbar and held it low behind his leg at the ready.When they retreated he let them take the gun with them. No way the gun was now mine. Especially with the threat to return.3) How did they get behind him.? He had closed the house up expecting the attack.Had he left the house to confront them? If he did ,stupid move .You make them come in search of you, an advantage to him. He knows it will be more than one invader. He claims to be calm and in control but yet he acts like the fools in an 80;s horror/slasher movie. The best defensive move was to turn all outside lights on,inside lights on at a minimum. Then he makes use of any window stairway ,doorway,or hallway he has a shot at from the top of the stairs .Any others need to be locked an barred to force only entry points he can target. Now he lays prone on a stairway landing with the best view below. He presents a minimal target and they present an optimal target ,(esp. trying to get up the stairs) .Unless he runs out of shells before they run out of people,he should win this one. Last thing, once free from the ropes he should have spent no more than 15/20 sec. on Victor. His daughters were upstairs getting raped . When that a$$hole inspector asked why he didn't call 911 he should have said fathers act now cops come later and take a report . .
