Personally, I call the Nautor Swan the Sea Vulture and believe Hallberg Rassy has betrayed its own heritage by imitating French charter boats. They ignored the criticisms and requests of former and potential customers. I will never feel sorry when these companies go bankrupt in a few years.

Nice! -- QUESTION -- Can you "redo" the 57 and make it have the same ratio beam to length of the 50 or better yet, the 40C? The 57 is not of the same modern dimensions as these two. Should be 18.5 feet wide if built like the 40c or 50.

weird warp stabilizer errors in the footage. Would still take the boat .

The problem is unlike previous Rassy boat designs that are known doing ocean passages, the aft on this one has been made rather wide so this will roll more when cruising down wind. Better suited for cruising in the med than doing blue water sailing.

All these nice X-Yachts are no more produced. X-Yachts is denying there roots by not producing ANYTHING anymore below 37 ft. GONE are there racing roots. All there is left are huge yachts for elderly sailors with a LOT of money and (for Christ sake) an X-Yachts motorboat in which nobody is interested in. Bye bye X-79, X-102, X99, X332, X35, X362 and alike. For FUN racing yachts, look elsewhere!

A handsome well laid out boat with only one noticeable oddity in design the the cockpit windows are stylistically awkward with the two competing designs; the larger longer ones would have been more appropriate if they'd been made longer doing away with the metal framed smaller rectangular ones, for consistency of design overall the rest is formidable !

Jag har en sån själv. Extremt praktisk båt: separata kojer med en fantastiskt rymlig akterruff, funkar lika bra med småbarnen (höga fribord, goda utrymmen), och som fiskebåt. Osedvanligt tyst under gång också, man kan prata i samtalston i 35 knop. Och: inget kapell som läcker och slamrar. Lättkörd och tålig, och rackarns snygg också!
