I support this channel not only because of the brilliant content and things I can learn it's also because of Martin. He seems very sympatic to me and I wish I was able to visit Stockholm (and with a lot of luck meet Martin). Unfortunately I can't for health reasons 😞 Thank you for your content and take care of you and your family.

Great channel! What would be the easier object to shoot when first starting out with product photography? I want to avoid picking a product that will kill my motivation and self esteem. What object would you recommend to lit and shoot in order to have a nice first experience with PP?
@botvidsson14 күн бұрын
A Pair of Sneakers! Sneakers often have interesting textures, materials, and colors that are fun to capture. They’re not too reflective, making them easier to light compared to shiny surfaces. I have 3 videos shooting sneakers. Thanks!

Thank you so much for your great lesson, and I have been loving it! I saw that you set the ISO 800 on the green frame sunglasses, and may I ask why you use this other than 100? I remember that you recommended the lowest ISO that we could have in the other tutorial! Thank you for your kind reply in advance!
@botvidsson14 күн бұрын
When you want to freeze action, you need to shoot with flashes set to low power. To avoid the image becoming too dark, and because we wanted to be 100% sure that the motion was frozen, we bumped up the ISO a bit. It probably would have worked without it, though. Thanks for the support!

You might get problem to freeze motion like water with the other flashes/LED because they are not so fast as the D3. I would go for 2 Profoto D2 instead of one D3.

Refraction is when light splits as it passes through an object. Caustics are the names of the pattern effect that the refraction causes when the refracted light hits a surface. Which sounds like caustic acid, not something you want on your surfaces 😬😬
@botvidssonАй бұрын
Ah, so this light pattern has a name-of course it does-but I’ve never heard the scientific term before: caustics. Apparently, it’s the same in Swedish: kaustiker. You learn something new every day-fascinating!
