Hell yeah man, go for it! There's a lot more airhead inspiration on my channel and I'm working on a new R100 build. Video will come shortly!

Hello, congratulations and thanks for this work and spending time for make videos. I currently rebuild a R100 1983 and I would know something: with the Rick's regulator, it's necessary to keep OEM diode board or it is possible to remove it? Bye ✌️
@corner.customКүн бұрын
Hi man. You're more than welcome. I've got a full R100 wiring / how-to video on my channel which also includes the Rick's reg/rec. There's also a wiring diagram in the description of the video. That video probably will answer all your questions, otherwise just let me know 👍🏼
@xercesIКүн бұрын
Hé, thanks for your quick response. Are you talking about your video on m-unit wiring where you used the diagram came from The long way there channel? I saw several time this video 😅 In this diagram the OEM diode board doesn't appear so I guess the Ricks reg replace it. In fact I just would like have a confirmation and a return of experience of the use of the charging wiring as you made.
@corner.customКүн бұрын
@@xercesI Yes that part did came from the channel The long way there. When using Ricks reg/rec you don't nee the OEM diode board. The wiring is pretty straight forward to be honest. The experience is great, works like a treat with also new coils, startermotor and powerful lithium battery. Fires up without any trouble
@xercesIКүн бұрын
Good !!! That's what I would to read 😁 I will fit a new dual coils also, what is the reference of yours please? Flatracer web site sells one who looks like yours but i'm not sure.

@xercesI I got mine from motolab, but they don't sell them anymore I believe. I'll have to contact them to see if they have a good alternative for it since I started a new R100 build

Is the paint blocking an efficient cooling of the engine ?
@corner.custom4 күн бұрын
Don't you worry about that. The K100 gets all the cooling that it needs via the radiator and fan and for the R100, there's only Cerakote on the heads and cilinders, so no paint/issues right there.

This is an AWESOME video! I would love to do this to my 2003 K1200GT, but luckily it works great and I do not yet have to go through these extremes to repair it. That being said, I do have a very slow transmission fluid leak, and I noticed this after seeing a single drop on my garage floor coming from the boot between the swingarm and gearbox. I have checked the level of the transmission fluid and it was about 150mL low and I filled it back up. I believe that the trans fluid is pooling in the boot and swingarm, and I am pretty sure that about 150 mL will spill out when I remove the swingarm to replace the transmission output shaft seal this weekend. Wow!!! Excellent work.
