Just four minutes into the service and am enjoying this second song KIle Olam Chasdo. How lively, feels me with joy and l💕ve. The serviceant in the white dress captures my attention, my admiration, my bonus respect, my agreement. So I ask myself why the others haven't. I realize it's because of how she is dressed. The other whose shanks are showing may attract some undue inappropriate focus especially of some congregants who can't yet control their private emotions and like wanderings. Though the attractant be innocent, some congregants be disadvantaged spiritually or at least energetically. This is why some religious groups altogether avoid certain positions from female members (or keep female members from these positions). The humble lady in a white dress with red spots is surely graceful and elegant. She is flawless and faultless, MODEST AND INSPIRING. Her appearance does not distract or tempt at all, not even the lustful, immoral, the judging and prejudicial is caused to stray. Rules, laws, orders are not made based on no cause, they address something disagreeable by some standards. The framing of the measure may fall out of time and place, but the spirit or purpose of the same should be kept and followed. The intended good should be the continuing pursuit. Hello 🎉 See, the above and more distracting notices have been poisoning my participation in the service. Almost an hour into the service now. Allow me get back, the service is fun and fine. Enjoy with all your senses.

@davidschmidt5507 Satans favourite lie, you can be as god, well we know who holds the keys to death and hell. Revelation 1:18. We know that God kills, and God makes alive; He wounds, and he heals. Deuteronomy 32:39. We know nothing can happen without God allowing it first. Job 1:20-22. We know God made all things light and Darkness. Isaiah 45:5-7 Proverbs 16:4. We know that God sees all things nothing is secret Jeremiah 23:23-24.. We know that God destroys nations and builds them again. Jeremiah 18:7-10. We know that is not Satan we fear nor man that will die, BUT GOD. LUKE 12:4-5. We know that God made all things for his purposes, the dumb, the deaf, the seeing, and the blind. Exodus 4:10-11. We know what he delights in. Jeremiah 9:23-24. But we know Satan and his lies don't we. Genesis 3:4. And the serpent said unto the Women, ye shall not surely die... But we know what our LORD SAID. AS IT IS WRITTEN, THOU SHALT NOT TEMPTED THE LORD THY GOD. GET THEE HENCE, SATAN: FOR IT IS WRITTEN, THOU SHALT WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD, AND HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE... FOR MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDETH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD... GOD WILL DO WHAT GOD WILLS, AND WHO CAN STOP HIM??? ROMANS 9:18 GOD WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM HE WILL... CANT BE ANY PLACE FOR THE DEVIL, WHEN YOU KNOW GOD ALMIGHTY... JAMES 4:4-10.... THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM... THEN YOU KNOW WHAT TRUE GRACE REALLY IS...

This is interesting to me because the Jewish Old Testament says in Psalms and Jeremiah that G-d knew Jeremiah and also David when they were formed in their mother's womb. Does Rabbi David read his own book?

Of Baby Blue: “I love that the doll that made me feel safe came from someone who my dad helped feel safe," Rabbi Morris Panitz said. And I love that Neil, the unhoused man, felt safe. Enough so that he thought (consciously or not) to return the gift of safety through his giving of Baby Blue, “for the new baby and his new room.” I imagine something deep inside Neil inclined him toward offering the gift he was given. Seems Neil had greater self-awareness than I have ever known. Perhaps one day. And may our stories and lives become holy, as are these. Amen.

Rabbi Brous, thank you so much for your powerful and uplifting message. My sister in law who lives in Maryland just sent the link to me and my husband. Not sure how she came across your video, cuz we are all Lutherans, but I am so glad she did! What a wonderful, heartfelt, intelligent and hopeful sermon. I am so thankful to hear your take on the recent election. We are all heartsick and baffled at the results. Utterly disappointed in our country. I’ve walked around in an angry daze since Tuesday night. Your words are the first ones that have given me any encouragement and hope. Thank you!

What a beautiful teaching! Thank you, Rabbi, for spreading the critical words of hope. It is in parshat Lech Lecha that the word emunah, trust, first appears in the Bible. Throughout our history as Jews, hope is what has kept us - and the vision of being a light unto the world - alive.

Yasha koach Senator Booker
@jessiegnyc2 ай бұрын
What a horrible, stupid decision by R'Brous to allow Booker to speak on Yom Kippur. I grew up in Newark. I remember when Cory Booker was the mayor, living in the projects, shoveling driveways in winter, offering neighbors who'd lost during Sandy the use of his microwave and home. There was even a comic book called "Gosling & Booker," where he performed heroic acts with actor Ryan Gosling. That's why it's been disheartening to see Booker embrace the anti-Jewish rhetoric spouted by his Democratic colleagues instead of calling them out and holding them accountable. He has defended Hamas, denied October 7th happened (which he later reversed), and parroted the screeds about genocide instead of calling on the people of Gaza to help the IDF liberate their country from the goons they put into power. It's absolutely disgusting that this man would be allowed to speak on one of the most holy days in the Jewish calendar. Shame on Brous and her entire staff.

Thank you again Senator Cory Booker. Shalom Alechiem Best - Mordechai
