I see all these guys using thousands of dollars worth of climbing platforms and exspensive sticks. If i was to saddle hunt, this would defintly be the method i would use

It's refreshing seeing a video where the fish are going to be dinner. I've never found a better bait than lively leaf worms. The best bluegill hook is the Mustad Aberdeen size 4 or 6 depending the size of the fish. I rarely miss a fish with these hooks. Nice fishing video and I think I'll thaw out some fillets I have in the freezer.

I think that looks like a catalpa worm pond. Like Papa Cole used to have on the Marion Highway. Lots of mayhaws and catfish in the water.✌️

pull the rod straight up when you set the hook. it gets them in the more solid upper lip

I truly think that someone is stocking that pond because the bluegill are too small if it was abandoned you would have been catching bigger bluegill or somebody else's fishing it

I’m sorry but just haven’t seen a saddle method yet that just makes sense. To many components. Not worth the headache just to shave a few pounds off

That is a valid point. I think a climber can work just as well in a lot of scenarios. However, I do like hunting out of a saddle.
