Mr. Fowler states at the beginning of the form he is doing his version. A version Mr. Parker would have understood and appreciated. I have studied Kenpo since 1971 and while Mr. Parker was never my instructor, he tested me for 1st and 2nd black before he left us and I attended a lot of his seminars. I was also a student of two of his first generation black belts and am currently studying under Mr. Fowler. I learned Form 6 back in the 70’s and through instruction from Huk Planas and reading Lee Westlake. I believe I understand the form better than most. Kenpo forms are a teaching tool, and most of the videos on Form 6 show not only poor hand-foot and balance coordination, but demonstrate, to the knowledgeable eye, a lack of understanding of the movement in the form. Mr. Parker wanted his black belts to study other systems to improve Kenpo. In fact, Kenpo forms come from Mr. Parker’s collaboration with Kung Fu expert Jimmy Woo. Rick Fowler through his advanced study of Escrima, Systema breath control, and years of analyzing the writings of Peter Ralston has incorporated effortless power into Kenpo Forms without changing their patterns. Only an experience eye can catch his internal movement as he performs Form 6 slowly, and it would not be possible to see the internal movement at all if he were to do the form at speed.

?(cont) there are many styles of traditional japanese and okinawan karate, their kata all have a resemblance, since they all come from the same root of origin, american kempo "forms" dont have a resemblance with any of them, at all, or even with shaolin kempo , so were does your forms come from, and who created them?
