It is good to see people fight out and strategy out politics at a local level.

I want to correct the record as to my comments in this video discussion about the recall of John West. At one point it was brought up that someone was making campaign calls and perhaps suggesting they were from the Republican Women's Club, or the Republican Party, in support of the recall. I had already known that certain members of that club initiated and supported the recall and incorrectly extrapolated that the club itself was supporting the recall. Often in opinion conversation, assumptions are made on the fly and I was clearly incorrect to suggest this as fact, it was not.

,.. quit telling us we were confused on the vote. we know what we know. we don't have brain fog. you guys are talking in a vacuum. get over it. he got what he deserved. you can't make it go away.

I'm going to answer the complainers (that I know are here and on social media): Those who didn't like the way Josephine County Commissioner John West has governed have successfully Recalled him. You've gotten what you have sought. But to try to justify the Recall by complaining about his "bullying," "waste of taxpayer money," etc. seems a little questionable. One person's "bullying" may be another's "strength." There have been many charges made against this man, but to my knowledge, no authority--primarily the State of Oregon--has substantiated ANYTHING he has been charged with thus far. A Commissioner represents ALL the People of Josephine County. That does not mean that everyone will agree with everything he does. It also means that there are a substantial amount of People in the County who APPROVE of what the Commissioner has done, relative to what he was ELECTED to do--keep taxes as low as possible, keep as much power at the county level (closest to the People) as possible, and "drain the local swamp" to the degree possible. The purpose of this podcast was to best ascertain why John West lost the Recall. Yes, apparently a big reason was he got a lot of people mad. Fair enough. And the side with the most motivation generally wins. And it appears that, following Trump's big win at the national level, many COUNTY voters got comfortable and did not turn out. There were a number of other reasons that contributed to the outcome too, as discussed in the podcast, including the motivations of the petitioners. That's fair game, and vastly underdiscussed publicly so far. But primarily, the purpose of the podcast was to ask why those who voted Commissioner West in to begin with two years ago, largely didn't show up to ensure he was able to finish his term. This is mostly a question for FUTURE elections: The naysayers and supporters of a bigger Josephine County government more beholden to the bloated, Left-wing STATE of Oregon government will always be there. But those who believe in smaller government, local control, less taxes and regulation as I do, must be vigilant, or they will see Josephine County look more and more like Salem and Portland. That would be a recipe for absolute disaster. Freedom isn't free. It takes eternal vigilance and sustained effort. It certainly isn't easy. But it sure beats the alternative!

why are you going in on Lily Morgan? 7,000 people signed a petition to put it on the ballot and 12K voted to recall him. so who the hell cares who was the "original" author? i attended the kick-off meetings for the recall committee, and there were SEVERAL people who wanted to run the Recall, but we could only have one face of it, so what exact point are you trying to make? if you wanna go to the origin of most dissatisfaction w/ John West, dig in to how much his hand-picked right-hand man, Mike Sellers is making off the County buffet. lots, and Lot$$$$

it's really just as simple as this: so many voters just did not like his demeanor. he is not a pleasant person. 6 department heads have quit. why is that? your discussion leans on "undue influence." and that's not even remotely responsible journalism. ... why was he recalled? i'm hearing, in greater numbers, it was the effort against the library. he went directly after the library. and he made zero economic sense. and he worked with no none. he did not collaborate with any of his customers. this is a silly discussion. i'm no more informed after listening to this than i was before. you don't get it.

I went on a vegetarian diet after reading "Fit for Life," in 1989 which I had read about in New Dimensions magazine. I started at 6' 185 pounds. The first 6 months went well, lots of energy. I eventually lost weight, no matter how much I ate. Over time I went way down to maybe 157 pounds. I believe I transitioned back to meat by probably mid 1990. It absolutely did not work for me. Now I still eat a lot of raw foods, but I definitely eat a lot of red meat including grass fed hamburger, and pasture raised eggs. The thing I probably go lowest on is carbs. These days I weigh in at about 177.

ive never been just raw but ive been vegan the last 15 years and im still healthy at 62. just had bloodwork done recently. ive never been a bodybuilder but i still keep fit. did good playing tennis recently for the 1st time in about 2 years. my teeth have been great since ive been doing dr ellie phillips regiment for about a year now. i think i started having probs bc i stopped using fluoride for a long time. id just brush and floss w water even after eating anything. also before that i think dentists damaged my teeth w unnecessary work and damaging teeth they werent even working on w the drill. even the way dentists clean scraping off the enamel is bad so i dont let them do that anymore. i was getting all the stroke symptoms and agonizing constipation before i went vegan. now i can go jogging even after being a couch potato for 8 months and not feel like a heart attack.

I ask the same question as to whats wrong with loving America? And whats there to be proud and openly hate America if you live here? I think a lot of the politicians on the left have no beliefs, they keep their beliefs flexible to change according to the demand of the voters. I will not be surprised if the left starts pretending to love America just because they found out it gets the Americans’ vote. Toward the end of Harris’ campaign she already started trying to sound like Trump by making promises that Trump had promised before.
