Thank you for this review/chat! I discovered Lisa Gardener’s writing talents a couple years ago and have been hooked. My biggest gripe with the unraveling of the truth was how Brian and the Patricia never noticed how similar Melanie looked to….. herself?! Lol even if 5 years did pass, there was a portrait of her in their living room for gods sake. That detail really bugs me to an otherwise fantastic “whodunnit” tale.

I'm glad you were able to cut down on the long drive to work. That's a lot and I don't know how you were able to keep it up so long!

We need to read Book of Life this month, if that suits you. We could start it this weekend coming. You are getting so much reading done with your course, glad that most of them are good and not too much of a drag and heavy. I can imagine that a lot of the world literature will be very heavy. Love the sound of your project, will have a look and see what I can find to help. So glad that you are beginning to feel more rested and that you are enjoying being being a Kindergarten teacher.

Great that she included a character who has CFS, it is a horrible conditions. It is the 4th book that comes out this July, so glad you loved ADOW. Hope Alayna gets all the care she needs from the ortho today. So glad though that she has decided to not let the bullies win.

OMG! The All Souls series is my favorite series!!! I am rereading right now as a new one comes out in July! I have read the first book Discovery of Witches like 6 times. 😁 I just read Mystery of Locked Rooms I liked it but prefer her horror.

I think it's so cute and funny they were more concerned about how big the rabbit is that a child could fall into his hole! (I could see myself going on that tangent as a child too though) I read all three Viva Durant books for Middle Grade May (not sure about fitting prompts). They are really good yet short audio books. Sadly, they are Audible exclusives - I hope that doesn't last long because they are really good. I'm also going to read the 3rd in the Aggie Morton series. What an amazing gift that you are crocheting something for each of your seniors. I still remember my favorite high school teacher gave me a card at graduation so I know they will treasure their gifts.

Great looking books. Our buddy read of The School at the Chalet will fit some prompts as well. There is a journey, there are walks in nature, they live on a lake in the Austrain Alps, so surrounded by mountains etc.

I have not read Alice in Wonderland, will try and get it from the library. Mum and Dad both loved Treasure Island - think I will read the graphic novel version that Dad has for this.
