Amy is a real journalist , far too many personalities/presenters that look good on TV but have never been on the front line of investigative journalism, not enough like Amy Goodman and colleagues on Democracy Now .
@user-jv2uo8ph2p Жыл бұрын
why so few likes? This is an excellent interview. I knew Amy Goodman is cool from Democracy Now, but to hear about her younger life is very interesting. Wish I had such an amazing upbringing.

This man's thinking was also part of our history. At 70 I can tell you this was the way we thought, at least the people I was raised around. It is a shame that people not born during that generation and the one after don't know about these things. We've built an Oligarchy made of money and only money. We were much more aware of each other and would spend time thinking and talking and asking questions of each other. I miss that, sorely. Whenever we wanted to know something our parents did not know they would give you the number of someone who did. It was wonderful. Now you whip out a phone and think you have done something, learned something. It is empty and vapid learning. There is no connection amongst the populace. He isn't any more brilliant than his generation. People only say that because they did not live then.

The interviewer should ask Lapham: "Tell me three things you like about each of Nixon, Reagan, Bush, and Trump." His liberal, Leftist ideology would suddenly reveal itself like a shark.
@davidherz99682 жыл бұрын
yes indeed, as Stephen Colbert said during his monumental roast of George W. Bush in 2006: Reality has a well known liberal bias. A nurse shark maybe, probably not what you had in mind

Wow. I respect this man profusely. He sees what I see. Education is the key, and we're seemingly deliberately not using that key even though we hold it in our collective hand. We expect--have expected--our presidents to relinquish power when their time is up, but we don't expect our oligarchs to relinquish the amount of their wealth that they should relinquish voluntarily for the good of the country and even themselves. Bring back the 90% marginal income tax and pay teachers well enough to attract intelligent, capable teachers.

USA was raised as not a christian nation, but a satanic one. America was "the new amsterdam" known to the world 400 years ago. What came over on the Mayflower was not 102 christians or pilgrims, but satanists. Look it up, 95% of all presidents a-list actors, superstars, etc..are all blood related...they come from the cainites satanic nimrod bloodline...it wasnt until the 1700's that christians and other religions showed up. thats why God sent us revivals with wesley and edwards, whitfield (The Great Awakening) Look at America the last 200 years. its the perfect combination of 4 nations. America is one fourth Rome (imperialism, military, senate, amusements) Greece (philosophy, learning knowledge) Israel (usury, banking, merchandising) and Egypt (hollywood, media, makeup, intergration, supermodels, victoria's secret, etc..) thats why every other nation learns english and america has always been "the land of oppurtunity" but not oppurtunity like you and I think. Its not freedom...america puts you not in freedom, but of slavery to commercialism, a debt based economy which creates inflation and shrinkflation because the purchasing power of the dollar gets lower and lower every year due to taxes and the federeal reserve. The statue of liberty does not symbolize freedom, it symbolizes “we got you, you deceived fool”.. Look around you, almost no one is really happy, everybody working two -three jobs, hollywood spends 200 million dollar (budget) to make a 2 hour movie while many starve all around its cities...really sad society we live in...The only way out? John3:16, relationship with Jesus who will pull us out right before nuclear war that will usher in a one world government and worship system. Covid 19? You cant travel or buy and sell without proof of a vaccine? what did hitler say? "your papers please"... Is that what is planned for us? REPLY

So to summarize, America after enjoying decades of prosperity has forgotten the sacrifices that were made for the present day reality, in which a small oligarchy is squandering the future, leaving nothing for the future generations. That paints a pretty accurate picture of what is going on right now. The new generation has been handed a world in which they can't function at all. They want to blame it on technology, but that isn't it. The last two generations, since the 80s, just dropped the ball on everything. I have been living through every negative consequence of this irresponsibility called the American government, and my life has been very difficult to put it mildly. I don't think there's much hope for the future. We don't have the manpower or the cultural inspiration to save the future. I believe Americans squandered their heritage, and as such, have brought the world down with them. When people lose touch with their roots willfully, they put themselves in danger of losing their identity, and vision for the future, and that is very tragic. Though it has happened through out history, i didn't want to experience this social degradation in my lifetime. Lol but, here I'm watching the fall. It's ugly.

I think it’s our failure and avoidance of the truth that has contributed to our decline. Re-reading history for real understanding (knowing when the War of 1812 took place and knowing why it place is not the same). All of the history of the United States 🇺🇸 can be summarized with ‘Get rich beyond your wildest dreams.’
