Anybody know what the current joggling beer mile record is? I couple of years ago i was training for it and I believe i got right around 740 in training but the record was about 725?
@MarathonJoggler Жыл бұрын
I think the record is still 7:41 by Adam Merritt in 2016.

Great run! Re: 3b100m Backwards -- we have two and maybe three in Men's Open entering (as well as one in Women's Open who threw down a 25.x!), so it MAY become a medaling event. I don't know if I can get a 3rd 5b100m Backwards, so that one is a toss-up. We have several new jogglers this time around, too, so that's super cool!
@MarathonJoggler2 жыл бұрын
Excellent! Unfortunately I have Covid and can't joggle the 5-ball 200m or backwards 5-ball 100m. Feel free to include my 3-ball 100m backwards in the men's open category. Thanks!

Thanks! A little rusty, but hopefully some better results for the next round.
@djsterf2 жыл бұрын
@@MarathonJoggler Yeah, I feel you on the rustiness -- I need to rein in a few things in my training if I'm going to be happy with my times, but I've reserved any major time improvement goals until next year (I had some nasty flare-ups of PF in Block A...trying to work through that at the moment). Are you working on anything specific outside of the official event list? I know there are a few others toying around w/ a 3b5K, 3b10K, and a few other very niche runs, so I'm trying to recruit anyone interested in case 3 or more want to compete in any of those. Also, are there any official events that you'd like to see in future years? The likelihood next year is that we'll have a small virtual event list for those who aren't going to the in-person festival and a meet as done in 2019 and prior at the IJA Festival, but we've had at least a small-but-steady group of virtual jogglers that has expanded the potential breadth of the competition, which is cool. Anyway, lemme know. 😎
@MarathonJoggler2 жыл бұрын
@@djsterf Really appreciate the virtual events as I’ve always wanted to take part but was never able to fit the trip to the IJA festival into my schedule. I like all the events you’ve scheduled. I might try the 3b 5K, and was thinking about a 5b backwards 100m as a super-niche submission but I don’t expect you’d get three people doing that one. Hope your PF clears up.
@djsterf2 жыл бұрын
@@MarathonJoggler lol funny that you should suggest backwards -- we had several do that last year. I need to message a few people about it.
@MarathonJoggler2 жыл бұрын

very cool! Do you know of any other 4 ball joggling records, the majority seem to be for 3 and 5. Also a shame that juggling clubs doesn't have it's own joggling record category.
@MarathonJoggler3 жыл бұрын
I don't know of any other 4-ball joggling records. I agree that clubs should have their own joggling category they're much more difficult to control at a quick running speed.
@laurentkelly1503 жыл бұрын
@@MarathonJoggler Agreed, joggling with 3 balls becomes second nature after a while whereas the timing with clubs always requires concentration. 4 ball joggling is very elite, I'm intrigued as to what time I could do for the mile. Keep up the awesome work!

That's sweet! I just barely learned to flash 5 but I've joggled several 5ks and a few half marathons with three balls. I did my first four ball 5k a few weeks ago during a snowstorm and ended up with 11 mistakes but still felt good about it.
@MarathonJoggler5 жыл бұрын
Excellent! I haven't done a four-ball race yet, but the pattern is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. Just 11 drops for a 5K is very good -- it's easy to get off-sync with four,
