Remarkably beautiful tone. Thank you! How old is the piano? What shape are the hammers in? Anything unusual about its engineering? Any history about the maker? Is it at 440?

Tante note, poco cuore, niente creatività . Anche fuori tempo . " L ex ragazzina viziata con la maestra che veniva a casa..." E per elisa.....😂

The piece is played mostly in the same part of the piano. A slower piece that uses the whole piano would have been more suited to demonstrate the piano's qualities.

Hi, great videos, how do you compare the petrof to an Yamaha u3 ? From your videos seems that petrof has better sound, more round plenty of colors, maybe like the schimmel 126, what's your opinion? For the same price is it worth buying a petrof 125 over the Yamaha u3? Thanks

The company has an interesting history, and forbidden to use the brand Steinweg in the U.S., although the roots can be traced back to Steinway.

I played my first SK in Auckland, NZ, recently. Blown away by the sensitivity and velvet smoothness of the action. Didn’t spend long enough to really assess the tone quality (had to try a B200 in another shop) , but it seemed rich and rounded.

There was a chronic shortage of decent straight grained and long seasoned wood after 1918, and the instruments made after thwt do not compare in depth of tone and resonance to those made in years before WW1. Mine was, I am happy to say,

The pre WW1 Bechsteins are wonderful. I have one built in 1907, imported by Harrods in 1911, During WW1 all the available wood was used in the trenches for reinforcement, and after the war there was a chronic shortage of good quality old straight grained seasoned timber. The sound changed. The depth and resonance qualities are noticeably different.
