Okay fine the losses suck but the net is positive and we have to stay true to our hearts and keep manifesting positive things in the field and the field will mirror that back 💪💪💪

No they don't. They use end of day drawdowns. I don't trade with companies that use intraday drawdowns since that's not realistic at all and places a huge unnecessary burden on the trader's shoulders. Good luck!

I like TopStep and Uprofit but there are many good ones. Really depends on your style of trading and picking the right firm with rules that help rather than hurt your trading style.

I think there's a lot more to consistently profitable trading than just having a good strategy. The strategy is important but still it's up to people to use the information correctly and very few will be able to do that consistently over time. Things like fear, greed, lack of discipline, organization, etc. will all get in the way.

You have a ton of experience with prop firms so in your opinion is 20 times Apex 50k the best route? How do you feel about trailing versus not trailing? As much info as you can give me re your experiences with the best prop strategies would be super helpful. Yeah I like looking at each account as a trade just from the higher risk perspective and trying to get funded super fast to make it even worth it as compared to trading a personal futures account.

I think it's $33 but the difference is negligable. They seem to be running the 1 day to pass more often and I think they will continue since lots of people probably blow up and this brings in more money faster to Apex. The 1 day to pass is a big deal and I hope to see more of it. Yeah with the 10 trading days on the actual funded acount that's not a big deal because with the consistency rule you can't have more than 30% of your total come from one day. The problem I see is the low amounts you can take out per pay period $2k per 50k account twice a month. I say that because I'd love to try and run one of those up to $50k in profit in a month but then I would have to take too much risk considering I can't reap the reward if I hit the goal. But still with 2k per account twice per month if you made a few hundred a day across 20 accounts that would add up. I still have to think through all the specifics but there is a perfect way to do this, at least for my trading style and goals, and I have to find that angle.

And there are other firms with no limits right out of the gates, right? We can research that.

Yeah we usually manage our risk pretty well. I'm starting with 50k and I will explain why in the stream. I will also cover how I am going to trade these and the purpose behind it.

I see what you mean about the trailing DD. That's really the thing that requires the most maneuvering. I just did a 3 min video talking about that and asked for suggestions on how to handle it. Made $1,750 on 1 trade long ES so that's ok for my first 50k test account trade. But I made the decision to take it off with just 5 pts profit (7 contracts) due to the trailing draw even though my target for the trade was another 5 points higher. It's hard to say which strategy is best overall...let it run and just chance that it comes back to BE and screws you...or use big size like I am doing and then take my chunks, like $1,750 today, and just move on to the next one so the trailing DD is less of a threat. I view the trailing DD as the biggest threat so I think taking chunks like I did on this one today is the best way to potentially neuteralize that threat. What do you think with your experience? I'd be grateful to know what strategies you have thought of and/or employed to neutralize the trailing DD as best as possible. Best strategy for live trailing DD Accounts are make money take money. No Break-Even Stops No Trailing Stops have (smaller targets with higher probability to be hit) Reduce the risk per Trade You won't actively notice the trailing DD imo until you hit a loosing streak! Thats where it starts getting tricky. I don't know your exact trading style. Best approach as always: trial and error Apply what you usually do but keep the trailing DD in mind and then adapt while moving forward ;) Sure you got this! @@andy_owings

It really just depends on the context. Generally speaking I think the LVN's are good places to buy/sell pullbacks in a trend when you know you're in a strong trend and have confidence that the trend will continue. I like to trade against HVN's when I am in a range bound market and expect a move to the other side of the value area. If I enter long at a support level near the value area low then it's often a good indcation if the POC is also down in that area. As more volume starts to come in and I see price going my direction then I have a good idea that the heavy volume in this case is reflective of more aggressive buyers. I hope this helps! Good luck.
