i remember the day we picked up my big brother gannon from a 9 month rehab in soringfield ma. we were both behind stoked since it was also the day whit light, white heat, white trash came out. we hit circuit city and boom, what a day. we saw them in concerts together since i was tiny. and he always looked after me. first two cassette tapes he ever bought me where social D and the clash london calling. i watched him struggle with dope for 10 years till addiction finally ended him and he died in my arms in 04. i worked myself to death for about a decade and when my health gave out, i quit my career and bought tickets to 14 shows from their tour. that was my favorite adventure after he left earth. i love this music, it feels like my family, my youth. my mom died october 27th. i’m a ghost now. all the music, thousands of albums, all that punk, rockabilly, all of it, reminds me of past chapters i’ll never see again. i hope the universe sends me head first into people that feel as badass as my family.
