Excellent. So smoothly done and with such a powerfully evocative narration. Well done!

The garbage disposal needs to stay broke. Expected the milk to end up in the freezer. Shave with the toothpaste. No spoon on Thursday....I cared for an elderly gentleman for over 5 years and saw his dementia progress. He once waited on "southbound" Congress Ave. in Austin, TX in 105 degree temperature to catch the bus going to New York state. I explained to him that he needed to be on the opposite side of the street if he wanted to head north on the bus.. I finally convinced him that we should walk back home a block away. So many fond memories of him. I tried to make his days the best possible.

Okay. I need to know more about this film. It’s beautifully haunting…especially the progression from what seems to be an ordinary guy journaling about his ordinary day to us witnessing his memory lapses to his complete detachment from reality.

I hope I’m not the only one recognizing that the crazy intro and outro imply that Jack was butchered and put in boxes. Absolutely insane vibe. I still can’t reconcile the office shenanigans with the human meat.

the Lux New Wave found new emotional contours with this experimental take on the breakup film. Excellently done. It served as a model for my film Aftertaste.

chloe nolan's visual austerity here is striking - reminds me of an akerman film. i really like the focus paid to small gestures, like their hands touching.
