this video was EXTREMELY helpful. thank you so much! do you by any chance remember/have an estimate as to what speed you generally use when doing the buccal reductions and refinement? I feel like I'm going either too fast or too slow so I'm taking a lot off and ruining the prep.

This seems like a very laborious antiquated system. There are computer programs that do a lot of the work..

At the end of the equilibration, we can see that #26 / 14 has contacts on the internal slope of the functional cusp, on the ML/DB ridge, on the mesial crest, and on the slop of the support cusp, which looks like a smile. The #27 no contact at all. How can this be good equilibrated? Isn't this method dangerous for normal muscle activity balance? It seems too chaotic and imprecise

Even after going to 3 dentists my occlusion haven't been corrected after going through root canal. I am suffering from 2 years now and I have TMD. Head and neck pain stiffness in neck, cant look up or to my left. Faulty dental work can ruin life of a patient. These articulation papers are bad. T Scan technology is best to adjust occlusion. Research Dr. Nick for TMJ and occlusion.

Question? If you don't have enough room to mount as you point out can happen. If you lower the bite fork down and maintain it's angle would it still be accurate? Isn't the angle of the positioned cast what matters here?

This is problematic for two reasons: 1) The nose and chin are soft, so why are we measuring to mm? That's ridiculous. Standard of Deviation has to be several mm. 2) That's great that your patient can hear you and respond to your instructions. What if they can't? What if they have Parkinson's Disease? What if every damn time you get a tongue depressor near them they shut down tight? These are just practical observations from someone who does this every day. This works..ish! But don't be fooled, we're MacGoobering our way through this thing folks. It pays to understand that. Can we get a wax rim out of this? Yes. But I hear him talking mm and I want to fall out of my chair laughing. REALLY?! 7 mm! How thick is the Sharpie point? At least 3 mm, times two.

I think you r wrong. When did you write this negative energy comment dude? Why so angry?
@colinshawhan8590
@colinshawhan8590 11 ай бұрын
@@ttepecik You are welcome to that opinion, but my comment is quite precise and specific in it's criticism, namely that we are pretending that marker point (4-5 mm?) on a popsicle stick has mm precision. Go measure anything with a Sharpie, I don't care. Measure a ruler. The Sharpie does not have mm precision, period. When did I write this? 10 months ago. Why are you asking? Check the date on the comment. I'm not angry. I do this for a living and this is not the way it's done. Maybe someone is doing it like this, which is great. But there are bakers who throw "whatever" into a pan at "whatever" temperature and get great cakes, too. Good for them! The doesn't make it a viable methodology. This popsicle stick method is like your grandmother's baking, "whatever" and "wherever" works for people sometimes. Cool. A Sharpie marker is like target practice with a hand grenade. Did you hit your target? Great! Good for you, go eat a cookie baked at some temperature with a pinch of sugar and a dash of flour. That's not a method.
