For how flashy and acrobatic this technique is, it's shocking to see how often it's used successfully in tournaments

Nice acrobatics, but I have serious doubts that anyone would allow you to get this close to them and grab them exactly the way you want to pull this off in a competitive setting.

He looks like a tall fat BlindFury lol Ahhh the classic- (WHEN KEEPING IT GANGSTA GOES WRONG) That guy had a gun and this big teddy bear was about to get shot in some minimum wage job not worth it. Worst part is he doesn’t know how close he came to getting shot close range. Well assuming he didn’t punch the soon to daddy in the face and thrown him to isle 4 where he left a gallon of milk cause he didn’t want to return it to the dairy isle. Never sleep on tall fat men they are impossible to fight only thing you can probably do is kick them in the jewels. I’m 225lb 5.’11” brown belt 2 stripe Jiu•Jitsu practitioner. I had a fight with a guy that had the same body and height of this man and I’ll tell you it is nearly impossible to get them down. I was able to kick him in his stomach and that made him bend over and barf but before that I had to jump to land punches to his face and he was shaking it off. Jiu•Jitsu teaches not to kick the opponent or enemy in their reproductive organs unless you have no other option and your life was in immediate danger & it’s a pretty cheap shot. I had spent a good 5 minutes trying to hurt him. It all started cause my friend was making fun of him and everyone laughed. He got mad and later that evening tried to run me over. He was driving on the sidewalk chasing me I had to run behind parked cars. He wanted to run me over. I was able to reach in and take the keys after he ran into a light pole. When he got out I tossed his keys in a sewer drainage. He wanted to fight but it was crazy. I’m telling you fighting a fat tall dude is very hard and never underestimate their strength. I was striking him with everything in my arsenal & I’m pretty built & have good striking strength. I knew the kicks to his upper & lower legs were hurting cause of his facial expressions. I jumped landed an upper hook clean on his eye but he grabbed me and bear hugged me lol my feet were dangling off the ground i was able to free my left arm and punched his nose. That’s when he dropped me and immediately struck him with a front kick on his belly that’s what led him to bend over and puke and finally grabbed him by his shirt pulled him down he landed on his puke and finally I put him on a rear naked choke. Called the police cause he ruined a lot of my neighbors gardens fencing and a lot of structural damage to houses on 5 blocks and other property just reckless. I didn’t press charges on him for attempted murder. I did kick my friends ass for getting him so mad. I laughed but stopped immediately cause my friend was being a dick. I busted out laughing weed I could not hold it in any longer but stopped immediately and kept telling me friend chill don’t talk to him like that you’re embarrassing him but he was pissed. Moral of the story is never underestimate a tall fat man. They are fortresses the range is long to land a good hook to their face or jaw cause their belly comes out so much that you have to avoid getting to close which makes the reach impossible to land a clean blow to even their chin. I began sparring with tall fat dudes. The biggest was a Polish fighter very kind guy but a giant at 6'10” tall and 430lbs he wore me out. I finally got him with a flying arm-bar and brought him down with the weight of my body and the excruciating pain from a well maneuvered arm-bar. He landed mostly on me on our way down but got the arm bar locked. I kept sparring with big tall dudes cause if you can take down a huge opponent you’ll feel like you’re fighting feathers when you fight anyone in your weight class. I moved to Coconut Creek Florida and began training at American top team gym. Had these monsters coming from all over the world and focused on fighting those giant Albanians, Austrians, Icelanders and Swedish. Idk what those men from those countries eat or drink or they have to be descendants of the mid evil barbarian giants. Iceland is number one those dudes are huge I mean just jaw dropping shoulders like bowling balls arms thicker than my waistline

Nage ‘s engagement timing is late.
@AntonZwijsen2 жыл бұрын
Well, in some takes that is true indeed, but I do that on purpose to not destroy his joints. You can either let your grip slip a little and execute the nage directly, or give Uke some time to reposition for his fall. In a real situation, of course you do neither of those.

Nice move, though I might get some hate comment about aikido on a judo video, but it seems like it would be easier to do a technique like kaiten nage where affer you move under the guy's arm and swing it to his head down then (instead of keeping the guy down by pressing down on his shoulder to give me time to walk to his front), I'd just press the guy down on his neck with some upward pressure on the arm I took to make him roll. I think judo doesn't let you touch the back of your partner's neck, otherwise some aikido-ish throws would be seen more. Also I can't tell when you move under the guy's arm 1:17 to move behind, did that have some wrist control?
@AntonZwijsen2 жыл бұрын
You are right that Kaiten-Nage would be a very nice way to end this sequence as well! This is not really Judo by the way but rather Jiu-Jitsu. Indeed, I control the wrist from the very first moment, this is an essential part of the control. I'd say Kaiten-Nage is probably allowed in Judo, but it will rarely happen in a fight, since a normal Gi-grip will give you more control. I train Aikido a lot as well, and I love it.

Is shiho-nage a legal move to do during judo match?
@AntonZwijsen8 ай бұрын
No it is not. Ude-Garami, somehow similar is legal, when performed on the elbow (not on the shoulder). This one, Shiho-Nage, destroys the shoulder right away. Great care must be taken when performing!
