why is the screw so super tight, I just can't get it off, Idid not even tighten it and it is so hard to turn anti-clock wise. Is this a design fault

CLA Reel best Thing since Slice Bread, just dont understand why they stopped making them... They were bomb proof and you still got a awesome drag... So sad, not sure what goes into making a decision to discontinue , but I have not found another Ross Reel that gives me same as CLA has ...

My favorite reel of all time. Including verses the newer version. The new one doesn’t have the quick take up like this version. Still love the new one, but I like being able to slap the reel handle and letting it take up all my line for me quick on this one.

Magnilock spool release system.... is plastic and engineered to fail. I wont ever buy a Ross Reel again.

So I’m kinda wondering 🤔 I just set up a 10 wt reel and put on 350 yards of Dacron for backing , how does the backing hold up over time ? If it stays moist will it get moldy? And start to break down ? Or lose its strength? I could see stripping out my fly line and wiping it down , and can the fly line be say dressed with something like a silicone dressing to protect it and make it slide thru the guides ? So many questions ! So many fish to catch ! 😃

Oh God what a dork!! Was this filmed back in the 80s?? Put the fly rod downnnnn. Pretending to fish on grass just to talk about your reel is ..tacky at best. Moonshine rods advertisement shows a regular person with tattooed hands (like myself) and here you are dressed up like you just got out of a nerd convention 😂. And your employees look like they wanna hang themselves. But .. I do really like the Moonshine rods and your reels DO look pretty damn good...plus made in our great country! But please ...a better commercial/ advertisement video please!?!

Too bad Ross discontinued these fly rods. I just bought a new 10 weight not too long ago for larger salmon been pretty impressed so far. On the other end even the smaller salmon species like pink and sockeye are still fun to catch on this rod, it doesn't feel overpowered. I have a 7/8 weight of another brand that is the exact same weight so this rod isn't too heavy at all. Love the action, 4 piece design and overall quality. The rod sock is a nice feature and like mentioned below the case is quite small but it will fit with the handle up and the biggest eyes down on the first section. I would definitely buy another if I found it.

*Im new to fly fishing>>>**allabout.wiki/fhii** Its a very nice reel, looks great and is very light yet tough. Ive used it with trout bass and panfish and its been an absolute blast. Im really impressed by the value. I have the 4wt paired with the sword graphite fly rod and Im really happy with the combo*

Some ppls like to fight the fish with clicker on and is kinda of annoying. I like to fight with with out clicker on. Better fight, just u and the fish fish on.

I would be interested to learn more about the anodizing process. I really like the black Colorado LT but I have other black anodized reels that really show scratches and scuffs.

Michael Fish - Anodizing is an electrochemical process that transforms the aluminum surface of the reel into a durable, corrosion-resistant finish. The Type 2 anodize process, matte finish done on the Colorado LT is more durable than most finishes you will find and while not impervious to scratches, will protect for many years.

@@customersupport4705 I went with the silver and have not regretted it. It's my favorite reel. If you guys made them in larger sizes than 4/5 I would have one for every rod I own. I never want to use anything but a click pawl reel after getting it.
