I've made my plan" Ironwood is going to nuke Mantle if penny doesnt work with him, and due to his semblance(basically it gives him tunnel vision beacause he is focused on what is infront of him and on the situation) he has the will to go through with this action hes has no pun intended "made up his mind" and he doesnt care what others will think of his action.

@@CentralCoco I don't know... The whole point of the song, the whole point of the plan, was "I will protect you." The thing V7 Ironwood got tunnel vision about was protecting as many people as he could, even if it meant sacrificing others. V7 Ironwood would have snapped back to reality the moment Marrow called him out for "doing Salem's work for her" (if not earlier). V8 Ironwood was an entirely different character, focused not on saving as many people as possible but on raising an empty city into the sky at all costs.

@@PeacePetal Many things have changed since I said this piece of mind, in which I've grown to be dismayed at what was done to his character, for the small time he went from protection to snapping, it was too short of a time gap to make it believevable that he would do this the way he did it, I think for him to crack the way he did in a somewhat understandable way, we would have to seen the battle of Atlas take in at least 2 more seasons, in which the second season would be the fall of the city of Mantle, which would then make more sense to be destroyed by the weapon. But sadly, CRWBY is not that going forward with writing, so we got a discount version of the battle of Atlas and a worse version of Ironwood's Fall.
