When I did my 51 GMC I used a similar design called Bear Claw, they have held up for over 12 years without any problems.

Doesn't seem to me that you can use a passenger side handle on the driver's door because the contours differ. BUT today you can buy the handles with two locks. Thank you VERY much for taking the time to share your experience in the Altman "Easy" latch install.

I have a similar model 101 with the same issue, but the motor mount on mine does not pivot like yours does. Mine is lighter color grey and the trim on the head is a little different. I have considered the treadmill motor as well as the 3rd pulley arrangement.

Been watching your videos for some time now, alwsys look forward to them, like the way you talk during with your dicriptions of what we are seeing. Im curious on your profession. Im a factory worker just about to retire, but i was a former body man and painter. I have still done some work for myself through the years and hope to be able to after retirement. I hope to meet you sometime in the future, maybe redneck rumble which i have never had the chance to attend
