The solution worked like a charm! However, I would like to know the reason why it happened in the first place. I checked the Guides, but there were none. There were no apparent hidden elements as well, so I am lost here. The logo I am trying to align is the 'Meta' logo taken from Wikipedia, in case anyone wants to check for themselves. I downloaded .svg and placed it onto my newly created artboard
