I were at the 2000 loveparade in Leeds, UK... Id love to have another! Loved this documentary, i feel it was made with true passion! I found it because another student in Pete Tongs DJ Academy shared it in our chat group.

Give us this day our nightly sync and forgive us our technology as we forgive those who pre-record the whole show. All that said, technology can never replace skill in the long run.

El speed up que le pusieron al video le quedo perfecto a alive, me encanta 53:35 muy pegadisa junto con the brainwasher 55:05 muy épico, me recordó al alive 1997 de igual manera pegadisa 56:30 y aquí se siente como un toque fresco y agradable, además que las líricas de prime time of your life suenan más al remix de para one remix

Oakenfold what a tool in sunglasses. Overrated. Aoki should be locked up for crimes against music. He'd be overpaid on 50 grand a year.

In my humple opinion. It was way cooler when the DJ was rocking it, smashing it, mixing from the "dark corner" or booth, big speakers and a strobe light and a laser kinda thing... Quality over quantity from promotion to production. Mainstream shite (being kind here) EPIC BIG "show", cakes, and millions of mass produced throwaway tracks kinda thing all sold to the gullible masses ruined it. Money seemed to become more important than music.

I almost didn't go to the show my brother and his girlfriend left to come back to get me and the craziest thing when we got there walking from the parking lot and all these people were already leaving but I'm so glad it was the best show ever so lucky to have been there. I mean Daft Punk has played live in the US after this show only a few times if that. Special like once in a lifetime changing shows

I remember as a kid when I wanted to pursue the arts as a career, my father, who had attempted a career in music, always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. He always told me, "if you can't succeed in your dream job, at least you now know and don't have to spend the rest of your life wondering." I knew I was lucky to have my father encourage me in that, but after watching this movie, I now realize that I had no idea. Hearing Carl talk about how his father didn't respect his choices, and now isn't mentally capable of being able to acknowledge Carl's success and to give him that closure brought tears to my eyes. I am so very glad that Carl Cox didn't take his father's advice and decided to keep aggressively pursuing his passion. When I first wanted to start DJ'ing, and I found out that it was a complex mixture of just playing pre-recorded tracks, I remember thinking "that's boring. What if someone was able to actually live perform instead?" Even though there are many people who live perform, Carl Cox is probably the epitome of someone who embodies doing today what I had envisioned in that period of my life, and something I aim to do and follow in his footsteps. In spite of the digital revolution and the simplifying of DJ'ing, Carl still aims to challenge himself and flex his creative muscles. He truly is Divinely gifted. We are all so lucky to have such a figurehead for the Electronic Music scene set the gold standard for all of us. Lots of Love Carl! Words cannot describe how much I admire you!
