It's Rode VideoMic NTG, but I think it's the sound treatment that is more important. Including export properties for KZbin. I managed to improve the results even more. I might do a video about it in the future.

@DannyBatista Жыл бұрын
@@jmzphotography_official depends on how you're using it? Do you need it to block stops and stop of light? Is that affecting what you're trying to achieve with your shots? If so, its unecessary and you're just making life more difficult for yourself. Are you shooting video? Then it's a great dual tool to have because if you want stick to the 180 rule AND cut relections then it's a win especially if you're shooting wide open with your lenses.

@@ShutterTwist99 thank you for the reply man i never used filter in my life i just want to use the important one will the polarizer filter will be good for most videos and photos ? I shoot landscaped and cars normaly and mostly
@ShutterTwist99 Жыл бұрын
@@omranmohammed4811 yes, it is excellent for landscapes and cars (takes away reflections). Tricky to use on a gimbal, but will work great for video too, especially that video is more difficult to the edit comparing to photos in Raw. This also acts as an ND, because it darkens the image a little bit (2 stops). There are filters created as ND + Polarizer and they will cut more light. The one I am using is on the expensive side and it has to be used with the Lee Filter Holder, but it can be used with all my lenses. You can also get smaller ones that will mount on your lens. This can be used with step up rings too. For example: you have 2 lenses, 77mm diameter and 67mm, you can buy 77mm polarizer and 67to77 step up ring for the other lens.

Never get Apple products, period.
@ShutterTwist99 Жыл бұрын
That is a very odd thing to say:) I have no doubt the M1 Max is the best computer I ever had. It is reliable, fast and it makes my work easier. I have zero interest in Apple brand as a brand. I do however have interest in tools that help me with my work, and this one does it very well. You are welcome to share any valid arguments, but saying "don't get it, period" is not very helpful to anyone.
@SMGJohn Жыл бұрын
@@ShutterTwist99 Firstly these machines are very expensive for the things they do, however I am not blind folded these machines do have good sides too, such as thin and lightweight, good battery life and usually amazing screens. But for ram and storage options, you pay utmost premium. My second problem is the fact that Apple hardware are extremely expensive or outright impossible to repair in case something happens, a simple screen replacement on the M1 can cost upwards of 300 euros, thats not counting the job to do it as well. Apple also are infamous for having short lived software support on their computers, often crippling old machines with newer updates, thats not to say you cannot keep using old software of course you can, but software like Adobe and many others are subscription based, requires you to always run the latest updates and OS versions to keep using it. And while I am not a great fan of Windows as an operating system, it is not locked down eco system, like Apple is, and while locked down eco systems does have a certain premium quality to its software, Apple really only have a handful of them to go by, and if those are mission critical, by all means. But if you are photo editing, or a video editor, getting a Mac might have made sense in 1997, but its 2023 and Windows already caught up 100 of times in price, performance and even build quality. Should you get an Apple Macbook? If you want a good machine that lasts for a long time, no. If you want a nice looking machine and absolutely HAVE to use Apple software, then yes. Its simple as that, but you will be paying premium for it too.
@ShutterTwist99 Жыл бұрын
@@SMGJohn yes, they are expensive. I have no experience with repairs, but I am covered with additional insurance. The experience you describe with support can be applied to every company out there, to be honest. I have built my own pc's many times so I am very familiar with Windows. Just show me a Windows alternative to MacBook Air 16GB with similar ability to edit 4K footage. After that show me a Windows alternative to M1 Max 32GB with similar ability to edit 6K or 8K ProRes Raw - both with equal performance when unplugged. Both laptops outperform everything I've seen in their class. I am paying premium, but my services are not free either. Any laptop that is close to edit 8K ProRes Raw is going to be expensive.

Can the base model handle big 120MB sony a7riv uncompressed raw files with ease in photoshop and lightroom?
@ShutterTwist992 жыл бұрын

@ShutterTwist992 жыл бұрын
@@asa9268 I would go with the M1 Air / 16GB for the best value to performance. Go higher, if you have a budget. Perhaps it is worth looking into having your Sony files compressed? I am using in-camera compression for medium format files; the only difference I can see is the file size reduction. Don't be afraid of the "compression" term. It would be impossible to manage uncompressed files in my case. I don't see any benefits in using uncompressed files from the GFX. It is also important to think about the volume of your work. The more photos you have, it is a storage and a scratch disk concern.

The M1 air with 16gb ram and 512 gb ssd costs me around 1500 Euros, the M2 Air with the same config costs almost 2000 Euros just the same as the 14 M1 pro. I have started video editing as a hobby and currently use my desktop pc (R5 5600x, 3080, 32gb ram) for that but I want something as well for the go since I am often on the go. Which model would you recommend me? I want to keep the device at least for 5 yrs.
@ShutterTwist992 жыл бұрын
I would still go with the M1/16/512 - you will need an external SSD right away for the video. That's how I would invest the remaining 500 difference. I am using a fast SSD 1TB as a working drive and then an external 4TB to archive the working drive once I am done. This is not a long-term solution. I have to delete a lot of files instead of archiving them. I don't know about you, but my requirement for storage is growing really fast. 2TB Samsung T7 is currently around 200 euros. I don't use my PC workstation anymore, I think I will sell it soon and get a Mac Studio.

@@ShutterTwist99 how is the battery life of the m1 air compared to the base m1 pro 14" for light usage (webbrowsing, netflix, Word )?
@ShutterTwist992 жыл бұрын
@@sasanmanprinceofpersia1233 I wouldn't know. I can only rely on the specs in that matter, I would imagine it's very similar. Pro is supposed to hold it for a little longer, but if you don't work from "9 to 5", you probably wouldn't notice the difference - both will hold it for very long. Although, probably less than advertised. I would say after months of using it on the go, the problem doesn't exist. I also got a powerbank with PD (for my phone) and it works with the m1. The only reason why I would go with the Pro is the card reader.
