They can't write a song like Taylor Swift or even Katy can though, showcased well ok Floors solo album which was very bland. Ariana can pull some vocal acrobatics those 2 would likely struggle with including whistles and pop styled vocal runs. It would be more interesting to see some of the vocalists like Celine Dion, Lara Fabian and Kelly Clarkson against Floor. Those pop singers have almost perfect technique and versatility aswell In the end pop vocals and classical singing style is simply a stylistic choice. Sharon and Floor don't go all out but they still use classical techniques to sing for the most part. In pop music it's all about controlling your sound and making it sound as good as possible which doesn't always mean singing with the perfect technique

Not a fan of her new stuff, but look at some of the lyrical content in Taylor’s early work and we’ll see that the lyrics fit well in a heavy metal/hard rock setup. Not that I’m holding my breath about this, but I always kinda wished She would try to do some rock music.

Look, I am not, in any way, a fan of pop music...I have never heard Taylor's, Katy's, or Ariana's song. But I have to be completely honest or this comment is worthless...Floor and Ariana have voices and talents that set them apart from the others...and I am not a fan of Ariana's music. But the sheer strength you can plainly hear she has in reserve leaves all but Floor significantly behind. And Floor is just Floor, ridiculous talent and versatility to spare...

Fantastic video, loved it! I'm glad you admitted yourself this video is not about a competition or something like that since they are all really good at what they do and Floor herself admitted there are amazing singers everywhere, no need to comparison about who is better. In the pop I definitely would say Ariana is really something else, and in metal Floor is my fav but well, they are all amazing here, thank you for this!

The focus should be more on technique than a battle against genres of music. There are a variety of skills employed in each technique and thus, comparing two different genres is like comparing apples and oranges.

these are not all live performances in the true sense, some are altered after the fact by producers using pitch control,its up to you to find out,a little hint one rhymes with Baylor Shift

Vocally, pop singing utilizes lots of breathy tones, vocal fry, falsetto, cries, runs, riffs, and straight belts. Metal singers could use classical head voice with vibrato, no breathy tone, straight tone belts with vibrato, more piercing tone, distortion more regularly, scream, etc. Different strokes. The key point is if the singer can execute the required techniques effectively and consistently live and with emotional expression of the lyrics and musicality.

Sharons voice on Acoustic I am crying literally it's just so beautiful makes me so happy I tear pop never does that to me like ever even ones I really like for pop. Also, all pop songs designed for young people all really immature lyrics as well like how people can listen to it genuinely 30+ I have no idea. Once in a while they pump out actually something good bet never has strong replay value Metal songs I can listen to same song 3 times in a row no problem.

Yeah people who don't like metal it's not just the singers as well it's everything it's the variety Metal artists pump out almost pop tracks to super emotional beautiful ballads. It's and endless rabbit hole of music it's also the community as well it's teh artists themselves are humble lovable people. It's the whole scene that attracts us to the community.
