It's the destination, not the journey.

The Record Mirror review suggested it sounds like a mix of "Frosty the Snowman" & "Rock and Roll Music".

Of course it is, it doesn't take a university degree to work that one out, that''s part of it's appeal for me. Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all. :)

I have this single, Chris Sandford went on to be the expert on vintage fishing tackle, writing weekly articles in angling magazines. He was the valuation expert for me at The National Vintage Fishing Tackle Fair in Redditch for many years.

Tony Delroy played it quite often on late night ABC radio due to demand from his audience. Not sure whether to request it for my funeral.

Should have been a natural top twenty hit, danceable and nice backing vocals
Yes, this is a wonderful version of the song. Besides so much talent, Julie Felix was all heart! Thanks for posting!

Absolute fantastic record, one of my all time favourites. The DJS used to play this all the time at Earlsheaton youth club, in Dewsbury, which was a major mod club.

Listen to the “Live in London” version. Bob Metzger really nails the guitar solos!

You've faded this early. I just recreated a 7'' Version. It's pitched up a little and they've looped and faded the end.
@bill1952Ай бұрын
I most certainly did not fade it early, it is exactly as it is on my 45rpm UK vinyl single, recorded as is from my turntable, I don't like messed up recordings the original 45 issue is always the one I go for running at the original speed. Other countries may have a different mix.

This song was one of my faves in second grade, but I hadn't thought of it in thirty-odd years. Then it popped into my head at work the other day. Now, of course, I'm reminded of Digory's botanical experiment in _The Magician's Nephew._
