I read Maytag sold to Whirpool, who now uses Mexican parts, but not certain. I've found many forums, with downloads, & help, but "Tyrant Jewtube" does not allow me to post the, helping others. As for saccharine thumbing, validation or criticism, feel free to thumb yourself better, should your life be lacking. I just have some info., if someone is in need, contacting me, "When" I can get to it, if I can include links, in pers. messages.

I've read the instructions, read them again and even called Customer Service because of the problems I'm having - every other comment seems to agree with me - it's a piece of junk - don't buy this crap ever!

OH yes, it goes out of balance so easily, and then you have to set it to drain and lose all your detergent and start over again. It is as described earlier, a washing machine of doom. I am currently writing a letter to the CEO, Jeff Fettig, but I doubt that anything will come of it other than a flowery letter. I'd like to take this piece of junk back for a full refund!

I have this washing machine would like to comment. Don't forget to add an article of clothing, because you will have to start from the beginning. The clothes don't get as clean with the low water level and it uses more electricity than saves water. In short, it's a piece of junk and I would like to take it to the dump. You would think Maytag could come up with a better product, I've contacted their Customer Service so often, but all I get is, "I'm sorry you are unhappy"! I'm VERY unhappy!

We have our good Whirlpool washer 1990's DD and good Kenmore DD 500 series from 2008, that both actually have water-level switches and are good. I hope that this one treats you well too! ;)

Thanks for the review! We just rented this machine and the part about powder detergent is so true!

I just RENTED this machine from Aarons, thank god I only rented. The only difference is that mine has a clear lid. This machine sucks, and thats saying it nicely. I destroyed my throw pillows in this machine because there was not enough water in the machine, I have tried different settings and still cannot get enough water to wash. I will return this to Aarons soon. It would be ok on the water sensing IF it would at least put the water to the top of the clothes. I wouldn't suggest buying!

I don't think it makes any difference whether you are using an HE machine or not. Powdered detergents suck!!! I had nothing but trouble with them many years ago and I would never use them now. Why bother with powder when a bottle of All HE liquid detergent costs only $5?!

Just a little FYI note on this washer - not sure how much soap our reviewer is using, but he maximum amount recommended by the manufacturer is 2 TABLESPOONS, with 1 being preferred. As far as liquid fabric softener, it is not recommended to use fabric softener in the washer. It is a better practice to use dryer sheets only. On the water level selector switch, no HE washer has a water level switch. HE washers use technology to determine how much water is needed.
