Hi, I know I’m late to this video but I love this tutorial. I did a cake last year. Your tutorial was so amazing but now, I ordered a wooden box that’s a little smaller and I’m not sure the stitches match anymore. I was wondering how did you measure or if you could do a for smaller wooden boxes tutorial. 😢❤❤❤

@@rubyayleen7496 I’m so glad you liked it! 😭 for a smaller box I would start from the top and crochet a circle or square depending on the shape of your box. then you increase that shape until it perfectly matches the top of your box, from there you’ll stop and work down the sides. if it’s a small box, I’d use Half double crochets or Single crochets :D If you need a video demonstration you can DM me on instagram!

magic ring , chain 2 , r1: 10 dc in to magic ring . (slip stich into the first stich that you made r2: chain 2 (add stich marker) , DC Increases in each stich ... leave one spot , then slip stitch into beginning r3: chain 2, (stich marker) ( Dc, INC) then they did another round and it fit the box! r4 the sides so they fit the box (WORK IN the back loops) chain 2, (stich marker), (8DC, decrease )repeat 4 times 8:35 (depending on your box) easy part : chain 2 , dc in each (2 rows top ) 5 (for the base) for the SIDES of the cake ... d e c o r ... frosting ! (i ran of yarn so :C but i wrote it for ppl) ruffle stiches (cluster stiches) 10:56 1. right onto the box 2. at the bottom of cake box ( insert hook into any stich) 3. make a u with yarn and pull through any Sitch 4. chain two , in the same Stich you added your yarn 3-4 DC 5. don’t skip stich , do all the way around Bobble stich ( little bit of sewing on to cake so you need darting needle) 12:46 1. slip-knot , chain 4 , wrap yarn around hook again go back into the first chain you made, pull up a loop, now 3 loops on your hook pull through first two loops (hold yarn losely) 2. yarn under, go back into first chain again and pull up a loop, through the first 2 loops 4. now you should have 3 loops on hook , go back into first chain pull up loop , then pull through first two loops: now you will have 5 loops on your hook 6. pull yarn through all the loops, chain one 7. chain 4 to start next bobble (repeat till you can wrap around where you want on your cake box) ALSO LEAVE A LONG TAIL for sewing !! spiral 17:12 1. long chain (double the size of the cake box, it tends to shrink) adds width 2. back down the 2nd chain from the hook 3. increase with single crochet (add two single crochet in one chain) other frosting STICH markers! to place where you want 18:59 1. slip stich along the cake box (on the side of the cake box, angle it) 2. you can make a long chain and place and sew it wipped creme 1. magic ring, 6 sc into the magic ring 2. increase in each stich (2 single crochet in same stich) 3.chain 2 ,(Work in back loops), 3dc in each stich till you reach end 4. FRONT loops 3hdc (in the same stich ) then move to the next one, all around till you reach the start. 23:40 for cherry, strawberry, butterfly
