Dude, nice clean racing. The only thing I'll suggest is, brake a bit later and trail brake into corners. You'll gain a ton of time. But still, well done on the podium!

Good stuff man, every win counts. The reason the game ghosted you in multiple corners is because you are in Driver Rating D. At “lower” driver ratings they ghost a lot in corners to prevent accidents. Once you get up to C/B you will not see it happen anymore.

Love it! I've been driving cockpit cam for 25 years. The only other view I can use is bumper. Being above the car or behind it just messes me up. And of COURSE it makes you faster! Liked and sub'd!

It also does depend on your track knowledge, sometimes it is hard to see when the elavation changes!!! But if you know the track it is super fun. Thank you for the support!!!

I will not put the cockpit cam with the dynamic cockpit settings on! I do not care if it can be very advantageous for my time! I do not care if it should make me have a more immersive sim racing experience that gets me hit from behind! I do not care if it just offers something that the hood cam doesn't, which is immersion! I do not care if that means I can see where I'm going much better because the camera leans into where i'm going with the car! I do not care if I can track the car's movements so much better! I do not care if I can see where it's not gripping or if I'm about to spin out with this cam! I don't care if I might even be better with the cockpit camera than my time with the hood camera! I do not care if I can see how much more I can push the wheel while I see how much more grip there is to have! I am not playing Gran Turismo 7 wrong! I WILL NEVER PUT THE COCKPIT CAMERA ON! You can not tell me what to do! You can not make me change the camera into a cockpit cam! I will not test the cockpit camera out! I will not get used to it! I will never ever put the cockpit camera on because it is kinda hard to drive and overtake opponents with this camera! It is hard to see some corners with this thing on. As for the shift indicator for the cars, I would rather try short-shifting with the manual transmission. But still, I am not a sim racer, nor am I a hardcore sim racing fan! You will never turn me into a sim racer by letting me turn on the cockpit camera! I AM NOT PLAYING GRAN TURISMO 7 WRONG BY KEEPING THE HOOD CAM ON! JUST LET ME KEEP THE HOOD CAM ON, AND LET ME LEAVE IT ON! 😤

Vr with a wheel has me hooked on this, finally got gold on Tokyo which seemed impossible. Those 30-60 min races I've been avoiding all this time ended up being the most fun

If you want to simulate driving in a race you must use the cockpit view. If you want to play the game use whatever makes you happy.

Also,if Vr doesn’t work with sport mode wouldn’t it be great to have some sort of sensor attachment on your head so that if you’re playing in cockpit mode that when you move your head to look in the wing mirrors or out the windows that the screen moved with you

My preference is to see the car 3rd person. You can see every ounce of track, curb an cars rushing on you. Although hood and cockpit cams are great. I prefer the whole view. Kireth and WidowMaker to name a few use the same method. 5:11 5:17

@@GhostOfBraznon if you Play on massive tv 65 Inch … its very immersive and you really See enough. So prefer cockpit.. its as big as a real Car Window so its god damn nice Sitting in my PlaySeat with Wheel In Front of it :) On a Little Monitor i would Go with an Other Cam..

Cockpit is most immersive, but also impairs view mostly. Bumper cam is to low and it is hard to see and read road and car as you would see/feel in real life. From this view you need to have road memorized to be able to drive it as you most of time cant see where are you going well enough. I know many would not agree, but chase cam to me closest to real life as in terms of seeing road. In real life we have much more peripheral vision and perception of depth and elevation which is only matched by chase cam. It helps offset screen size/ratio and resolution impairments off all other views. Also, i know it is not realistic to see car from 3rd person, but i see it as another way of feeling g forces on my body and car which i would feel if i'm really inside. Hood view is 2nd best as hood is not in a way, height is somewhat ok and you get some feel of car.

Ask a real driver what view they drive from. I'll be amazed if any say from the bumper or magically suspended high up behind the car. I've always used cockpit view as well, it's the only realistic one.

You don't use optimal lines at Suzuka (use all the track) and stability control makes you understeer. Majority of A+ drivers uses hood or bumper cam. World Tour drivers bumper (you have the rpm and virtual mirror). Look Digit, Coque Lopez, Tyranno Cyrus Rex stream if you want an example.

I’ve been using bumper cam since I was 7. My biggest complaint with interior views is truly personal; I get distracted. If there was just a dash view where the steering wheel was out of the way but I can see the gauges still, it would work better for me.

Correct. I use cockpit view in ACC because you can remove the wheel and drivers hands so you just see the dash display in front of your own wheel and you can adjust your seating position in the car to see the mirrors. I use bumper view in gt7 because it'd the only view with a usable rear view mirror.

You're only capturing 40% of the experience with cockpit view. That's why most people play hood cam. VR however, would give you a much more complete experience, and rival the hood cam.

Psvr2 is definitely the most complete GT7 experience. I’m not great in cockpit cam because I can’t judge distance to the apex. VR totally solves that problem. Highly recommended, especially if it goes on sale again.

My setup I’ve had since the gran turismo movie funny enough 😭 bought the wheels and pedals right after watching that movie and yeah they are good since the brake pedals are loaded which helps me with trail braking and yes first setup ever!
