Would you think a (lightly used) M426fdw is still a good buy in 2024 for home use?

Looking to buy one of these for my f150. How has it held up? Id rather get this one as opposed to the undercover since i think itd be silly to buy a $250 box to hold $80 worth of straps and miscellaneous items.

How has it held up ? Is it still working properly via USB and Bluetooth ? Is it still printing dark ? Is the alignment still good on the Labels once printed ? Thinking about picking this model up today.

Nice video, tells a lot on how to install. Like many manufacturers equipment is upgraded over the years then newer trimmer heads do not fit. I have a model ST1500SF. Looking at the Amazon link it says the AH1531 will not fit the ST1500SF. The trimmer head is junk (I acquired the trimmer used). So I need a replacement...ideas?

good sprayer unfortunately these chapin sprayers are notorious for having trash batteries and chargers. I have one and the batteries don't last more than a few months of light duty use

Great video! Have had a swing box on an earlier f150 n loved it. This looks like pretty much the same thing for less than half the price. Any idea how the two compare? Only thing I could find online said that they are made of different materials, but couldn't verify if they were comparing the same two boxes as they appear to make other models of tool boxes. Also curious what bed mat you have and any possible likes n dislikes? Thx again for another great video! Anyone feel free to chime in on these questions if you have experience with both boxes.

It would have been nice if you showed unboxing, loading the string and a short demo showing cutting grass and bump feature.

I had big problems with mine too. Power and motor still great, but the string head was worthless and impossible. I'm going to give the replacement a try.

How does the string load? Do you have to take it apart to get the string in? The power head attachment automatically pulls the string in. I know this one doesn't do that because there is no power down to the head. Thank you for the video it was very informative.
@Rich40982 ай бұрын
You have to set it to loading position, then run the string from one side all the way through to the other side (there's a gap that allows this), then pull the two strings even with each other. Then I just crank the top part of the head to reel them both in.

While it is good price but the only thing i hate about it is you can’t add a better hose with he connection to the machine. It’s not common like a 1/4 or 3/4 connect. The Gun can’t be replaced for the same reason. I used it for my car and deck, it works but nothing the brag about it.

The carbon filter should ALWAYS be the final stage in a filtration system, as the filter can no longer perform adsorption once the pores are filled. Also, when any filter layer becomes clogged the system ceases to be effective at removing toxins from the air. The xTool filter packs are properly designed with a coarse prefilter to trap large particles, followed by a HEPA filter, and finally the carbon filter. If you're going to add additional filters, then the prefilter material would be added above the xTool filter pack and a carbon filter layer would be added beneath it. The major problem with the xTool filter packs (and similar designs) is the life expectancy in run hours is rather limited for the cost. In a production environment, these filters only function as designed for about 2 weeks. This results in an annual cost in excess of $4,200 US after taxes. I strongly recommend purchasing air quality monitoring equipment. You can replace equipment and filters, but there's only one you.

Hi Tim, thanks for your comment. I've certainly had issues like everyone else, but I've found that if I keep up with my pre-filter change out schedule, it works well for my needs inside of an office. Just need to swap out the complete filter unit every few months, depending on usage.

Does this make the air assist redundant? We just got the M1 and considering to get the filter too, but unsure if we need the air assist as well. Are you still happy with it?
@MarksPrimePicks6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. You need both. The built in fan (i.e. air assist ) forcefully moves the smoke out of the machine and pushes it to the smoke purifier. Unless you are able to exhaust outside (which you would need a separate exhaust fan to push outside). If you are inside an office with no way to vent outside, this is one of the only effective ways I've seen to handle the smoke and fumes.

Looks like you may have gotten the wrong bracket, just installed this box on my 2020 STX F150. The lock bracket aligned up with all the holes in the tie down position. Did have to remove the tie down hook in the back corner of the bed for the box to swing into the lock!.

@MarksPrimePicks8 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. It will typically only do this if 1.) the fan isn't working, or 2.) the filters in the smoke purifier are clogged up. I use these two inexpensive pre-filters in my purifier to maximize the life of the cartridge: White Pre-Filter for Smoke Purifier: amzn.to/3SrIZzc Black Carbon Pre-Filter for Smoke Purifier: amzn.to/3vWnZsA

With this router is a plunge base available?
@MarksPrimePicks6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Since this is more of a trim router, I don't think they have the plunge base available. Would need to probably move up to a more powerful unit to do that kind of routing.
