I am so glad there are so many of my favorable items that cannot be found in our local (los angeles, CA) markets. Please advise the name and address of this market. Also ,in your next video, please show more clear of the products' price labels so that I know if they are competitive. Thank you.

@@taklee923 Thanks for your feedback and thanks to the diversity of Toronto city, almost foods and produce from every culture and country are available in the markets year round. And you are right, I need to film the product name closer so people could see properly. I ll keep in mind. Thanks again for liking video

Usually for the lotus root we eat braised in a slightlt sweet vinegar sauce (my mom actually puts a little bit of ketchup) or with peppers. When you bite and pull, it's a bit stringy. There's also a steamed dish where you stuff the holes with rice and other things but imo it's a lot of effort for a very average tasting dish

Thank you. You mean poking holes in lotus root and stuffing with rice and other things? Wow! So many ways to make it. I need to try one :)

Popped lotus seeds, or you can put them in soups.. you can put just about anything in soup though.

You need to look up how to make jelly, jam and syrup with them. I am from Arizona and it's the funnest to go out and collect these and spend days trying to make jelly but if you're like me some will turn into syrup lol tastes super good.

In Thai cuisine they put those small eggplants in Green Curry. Meanwhile, lotus root is like potato but a little tougher.
