@@MMAdekimono Yes, I know, and there was also fighting between Japanese and Thais before, in the 1950s. This video is from 16 July, 1974 Lumpinee Stadium Nongkhai S. Prapassorn 🇹🇭 vs Katsuhiro Monoe 🇯🇵. Best regards

Hoost, Kaman et Cie, et comme tout les Européens sont mortellement fort avec les jambes. Roufus peut vous en dire quelque chose ayant été assommé par Hoost. Jean-Yves était mon idole de jeunesse. Je l'ai rencontré de proche pour la première fois dans l'école de Montréal d'André Gilbert où un ring avait été monté pour la préparation de JeanYves. Même Réal Massé était présent cette soirée là. J'étais déjà ceinture noire à 12 et j'ai mis les gants quelques minutes avec J-Y ainsi que plusieurs autres élèves. Quel honneur ! J'enregistrais toutes les cartes du centre Paul-Sauvé sur le cable vidéotron et j'ai encore sur VHS toutes les cartes en intégralité. Je considère que J-Y n'a pas perdu contre Don The Dragon Wilson et contre Rick the Jet Roufus. Ma plus grande peine est l'abondon de J-Y contre Rob Kaman, Jean-Yves était déjà blessé avant le combat à cause d'une chute en vélo selon les rumeurs.

The karate athlete did not wear gloves that day while the Thai did , it was an agreement requested by the Japanese …. They said that the main weapon of karate is bare hand so the glove is not good for them anyhow the karate athlete had no chance to use it that day.

I don't watch enough sports to know which is Bill Wallace, but if he's the one in red, he's got a lightning jab with lots of reach. Heck, they both have great hands, maybe less agile slips than boxers (which I'm not -- heck, I'm just a spectator). I find it odd that this video is under a karate rubric.

Excellent fight by 2 great fighters, probably the best ive ever seen in this discipline, meaning the more conventional kickboxing rules..due of all respect to Rick think if knees, elbows low kicks were introduced would have been a total different outcome, but having said that both superb athletes who displayed excellent techiques, very varied not just all off the front foot like i have seen lot of the more typical kickboxers do .
