Los Cuscatecos fuimos y somos un pueblo grande y glorioso, aunque es ironico que los Mexicanos nos tiran de haberle fopiado olvidando que literal una vez fuimos un mismo oueblo hace como 3,000 años y que al tener un tronco comun nuestra cultura y genetica es muy parecida e incluso el idioma Nahuatl y el nahuat son casi lo mismo la diferencias son las mismas que el Portugues y el Castellano o que el Castellano y el Italiano.

The way I see it, based on an US state where many natives are trying to relearn and reclaim their ancestral language, culture, and dances. They all share and borrow bits and pieces from each other to fill in the gaps. And that is okay. Back then, many tribes having lived close but separate from each other, would also have shared similarities and differences.

@@emersonr7481Yes they are. They hide themselves. Kind of like how in Black Panther, you never know if a Wakandan is Wakandan. It’s the same for them. They don’t dress in their garments or speak the language around others, just between themselves

No se confundan esta danza no es maya. Es danza pipíl, danza de un pueblo cuya cultura se vio masacrada en dos épocas; primero, la época de la colonización por los españoles y más dolorosa la reciente 1932 por la oligarquía salvadoreña, ( siendo presidente MAXIMILIANO HERNÁNDEZ MARTINEZ), masacre genocida de más de 30,000 treinta mil indígenas PIPILES, tan solo en una semana, para apaciguar la rebelión indígena por defender la tierra que se les confiscaba para entregarla a la oligarquía para cultivar el café. En este año es cuando se dictó; abolir la cultura PIPIL, RELIGION, IDIOMA NAGUAT Y VESTIMENTA INDÍGENA. En todo el territorio salvadoreño, siendo castigados con presión, corte de sus extremidades, lengua y en casos extremos pero más común ahorcamiento o fusilamiento. Todos trataron de ocultar estas raíces por miedo.

Same here! It's a shame there's so few learning resources outside of el Salvador it makes it very hard for far away brothers and sisters to learn

Alex Mueller yes it’s a struggle to reconnect living so far away. But it is possible. The easiest way I’ve found is through dance and cultural centers
