Earlier today, I listened to a father who talked about a song he wrote while facing down possibly the death of his child. I liked the song's sound and decided that tonight I would make a lyric video for it. Tonight, while trying to decide which version to convert, God used a simple praise chorus to break me down. I started crying at my computer. You see, I've been really battling a negative person in my life. I decided I was done with this person. He was dead to me. As God was breaking my heart, I cried to Him, "But I don't want to be hurt anymore." But He broke me anyway. I can't explain what it's like to have a personal faith with God, except that what is impossible for man to do, God is able. If it was up to me, I'd just walk away from everyone who brings pain into my life. And that might be a good thing in a lot of cases, but I guess that's not what He wants for this person. No one could have convinced me to change my mind...not even my wife. But even earlier today, she said, "Pray on it." That was the last thing I wanted to do. You know, you don't have to go looking for God. Just turn to Him. You don't have to fix your life to be ready for Him to be a part of it. He'll meet you where you are. And when you ignore Him, He finds a way to reach you. Tonight, it was through a song. I know you got a lot of things going on in your life...just like me, maybe worse. Be open to the change He may want to make in your life. He will change you from the inside out, and He'll meet you right where you are. I love you all.
