If you have the Act 2 PdD please post it. She's being forced out of of ABT, and there are so few videos of her dancing available.

Please would you tell us where they performed this Swan Lake. This is not a Mariinsky production. Philipp Stepin is a First Soloist of the Mariinksy, and Alisa Petrenko (Sokolova) is listed as a corps member -- most certainly an up and comer. They must have been guesting in this performance.

I made an error in a previous post Anna Sodoleva dances with the Mikhailovsky ballet.I swear there are now nearly as many ballet transfers as football !!!

She is listed as a corps member of the Mariinsky - not listed at the Mikhailovsky at all.

Never thought I would say this, but I actually quite like Ivanchenko here. I started looking at him, because for some reason Part annoys me quite a bit.

I was just going to say that for me, Ivanchenko has a perfect male dancer figure, and that even at this stage of his career when many go to pot. He has grace and elegance not often seen. And come to think of it, I like his dancing despite frequent attacks showered on him here. I thought Part would annoy me but I found some nice elements particularly in her mad scene and unlike many home ballerinas she does not overact or look as if she was primarily concerned about herself. She is genuinely trying to be Giselle even if it is a different one. Waiting to see some of the second act if we are lucky.

Part is exquisite. I would love to see some of Act II. I don't like Ivanchenko here, although he has nice line, he doesn't use his plie. And he doesn't project --he's like a stick in these clips of Act I.
