For care instructions, items should be washed at the temperature recommended for either the threads or the item itself - whichever is lower. To protect the item, it’s best to use a washing bag and wash it inside out. After washing, some light combing may be needed. Please avoid using a dryer. For added durability and easier care, I recommend using polyester threads. I’ve personally washed my items many times, and they are safe to launder.

Have you considered using the cutaway/washaway backing instead of tearaway? I think it would give a much cleaner edge. I'm also wondering if there's a way to do this where the entire shirt and backing are hooped together, and then the applique fabric is laid down with fabric basting spray.

That depends on what do you prefer. For the lace edge bows I recommend using washaway stabilizer.

It's a transparent font, black checks are stitched, and the background fabric looks through. Just thread color change.
