He was heterosexual and just used homosexuality as a means for laughs. This just added petrol to the fire regarding the fear of gay men.

What a great British talent he was, it's a shame that people like him kind of fade away over time and not on TV anymore, they are a great loss to Saturday and Sunday evenings. RIP Duncan Norvelle

I thank this man for his entertainment, but i also thank him for bringing to attention of stroke victims. He shows it for what it really is, it takes away your life, sometimes in your sleep, but in my case day by day. RIP Duncan. God bless you

Hi everyone. Who remembers Wheel tappers and Shunters. That was a classic programme. Colin Compton and Bernard. I watched that as a treat with my dad and grandad after hill street blues. Good tv then. Showing my age. Ha ha. Xx

I remember seeing him at Trades club in Blackpool 25 years ago when I first moved here. So funny and a real gent. Came round after and said hi to everyone and had a drink. Still walk past the Trades club on my way to work, well site of. Burnt down a few years ago. Bit suspicious, insurance scam. rip Duncan. U were brilliant xxx❤
