Yes they are. They run off the existing head unit without any problems.

@@dp836dear author, may I ask you another question as well ? You said that stock front speakers are actually woofers. So how does kicker cs perform instead of stock low frequency speakers ? Yet another question, do you remember what was total weight of entire delivery ? You inspired me and I used all of the links to order my set. Thank you brother.

Sorry, I can’t remember the total weight. But the magnets are a bit heavy. As for the front speakers, the kicker speaker comes with both high and mid frequencies, where as the stock only has one low freq. in my opinion these speakers are excellent value for money considering no amp upgrades are required.

Not straight after, but eventually yes. I added in a resistor to fix that.

Hello guys, I don't recommend remove the front speakers in Highlander, best way is replace the dash tweeters for Kicker, jbl, Cerwin vega or Infinity and also rear doors speaker because there is the problem,very bad speakers bad quality of sound an then you can add 2 dome tweeters 1 inch and put by side the dash board close by original tweeters and 1 Subwoofer 8 inch under the seat,trust me is the best choice for, good video

Because if you going use a base like 8 inchs you car don't need replace the front ones, just the rear ones, what I did in my 2021 I put one 8 NVX porter box and work so good,amazing sound and I put a Domanki monoblock amplifier 600 watts RMS,very simple 👌🏽trust me don't waste you money @@heinrichhimmler8951

They will be underpowered therefore poor sound quality. The factory are tuned to sound good for cheap. You’ll need a dsp to correct eq curve

Hi there, Stock speakers are fitted to the metal panel without any adapters. New speaker holes do not line up with the existing holes on the panel. Hence the new adapter is required.

Hi, yes sound is very different and heaps better. I couldn’t put the sound into the video cos when I did and uploaded the video into KZbin, KZbin said that song I played to demonstrate was copywrited. Hence had to mute it out.

@@dp836 Thank you for your response Is this really necessary Dynamat Extreme Because first, I will buy the product from a local agent, because it is expensive to ship it from abroad Secondly, the area where I live is coastal. Does it cause mold with high humidity?

@@bhraqot necessary to put the Dynamat extreme. But putting it on reduces vibrations on your panels and doors from the speakers. Also makes the door heavier and more solid. I wouldn’t think mold will be an issue with Dynamat as it’s typically metal sheets on tar.

Why the German speakers are 150 watts and the background ones are 600 watts

Hi there, the front speakers are 150 W RMS and the rear 100 W RMS. The rear model with the 300 W max has been discontinued and is replaced by the 600 W model. I guess you are confused by the Max Watt and the RMS Watt. The difference between peak/max watts and RMS watts is that peak watts are the maximum output, while RMS watts are the average output. The models in the link work well. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for this video, I ended up doing everything you did and it helped like crazy. I wanted to do the back speakers but before I buy them I wanted to ask if there is or will be a major difference since your speakers are 300 watts and the speakers you linked in the description are 600 watts. Maybe they upgraded, but will that affect the sound and require an amp?

Hi, I’m glad my video could have been of help. At the time I installed, the 600W wasn’t available. Looks like it’s an upgrade. Technically, you shouldn’t have any issues with the 600 W speaker and they should work without any external Amp. I’d expect you would get the same sound if not better and minimal chance of distortion with the 600 W. Let me know how you go cos I’m sure the community would be interested as well. :)

I bought the same speakers to install them in my 2023 highlander and they will not fit. I wouldn't expect the speaker space to change from his 2021 to my 2023 but apparently, that is the case since he was able to fit them ( I assume without modifying it since he didn't mention anything about it).

@@dp836 what about the wiring with the 4 wire connector? Everywhere I’ve looked for 2020-2023 there is not a compatible harness for dash speakers.

This is not a platinum model I’ve worked on. But I believe the amp is accessible from the boot, pop left hand side cover in the boot and you’ll see it there. As for upgrading it, u might have to work out the specs.

Hi, No I dont. The real quality of the music coming thru is messed up when recording and playing on a phone. Also, every song I played, KZbin said my video had copyright issues when uploading them. Hence had to mute the music out. Besides, any branded premium speakers sound better than the stock ones. Hope the video helps.
