I was able to succeed with this technique, though it took many tries. The machines just didn't want to cooperate. The dodge hitboxes seem very arbitrary when it comes to explosions, I noticed. I did find that, instead of using acid traps, it was easier for me to shoot an acid canister at the thunderjaw's face and then set it off. This is mostly because the TJ likes to use a lunge attack that destroys traps without setting them off. In the end, I lucked out: with 25 seconds left and around 5,000 health on the machine, I went for a braced attack and managed to get a crit against the jewel on its head, dealing about 8,000 damage and ending the fight.

Good Job and Congrats yea he sometimes destroys the acid traps but they mostly work on him for extra damage, nice u were able to complete it!

Dude, I'm doing exactly this and the damn dreadwings health does not go down like on this video at all... Best i can get him down to before the 3:00 is up is like a 1/4 health left... Seriously, F this stupid challenge. If i could use my own loadout it'd be easy.

Very hard???? I am playing in Normal mode and the Dreadwing is 100000x more aggressive then this. I don’t have time to aim and rolling doesn’t help much.

i was aiming while i dropped down, and this was done in the early days of the game a ton of updates happened after so im not sure if they changed the AI for it but while aiming it slows down time that's what rly gives the edge, don't give up tho you can do it!

They had alot of updates since then and alot of new weapons and skills i haven't tried them out yet but there are new combos that allow u to one hit alot of enemies

i was either blocking it dodging it or tanking it (i got hit) but its not too hard to see where they would spawn

@@RKH1234 yeah I see them but sometimes there’s too many floor hazards so I can’t get there jn time (like the sectioned lines that rotate). And then I need to have ATB to kill them. It’s the one mechanic that keeps screwing me over :/ Problem sucks is if you don’t defeat them then you get the debuff the to can’t cleanse fast enough

@@Pikachu-qr4yb that rotating one did suck if u noticed i either ran in the back or just got hit but just a bit of patience u will get it, he usually has a pattern before he uses it if you can figure that out then its a whole lot easier

and the cleanse i think i did it once that entire fight it does bring the damage down alot from like 2k to 1k

@@RKH1234 ok I did finally beat it after a whole day of trying lol thanks for the tips. What helped was not panicking during the pillar mechanic. I can always cleanse one or two levels and having a level of the debuff is not too bad
